how did she hit immortal? is she any good or am i just jealous she has a higher rank than me?

she isnt bad, but i was just surprised because she would never even hit diamond in EU, and I dont know much about NA ranked
I maybe get one guy in 1/10 games on my team that is toxic. (idk about enemies, because I always mute them)
I was referring to her lack of mechanical skill to be able to stand against EU diamond players. (yes, it's a mental shithole, but some people still have aim)
idk about insane but tbh she probably plays it better than me so who am I to talk
idk i don't watch pokemon but i've seen lots of pro's play with her so she prolly learned a lot from them at the very least
She only played twice with Shazam on street and lost more than she won.. She mainly solo qs on stream.
Its pretty trash. The diamond/plat players look like my silver friends no cap.
Im not even trying to shit on them but it really is awful.
Afterall eu has double the amount of ranked players so zhats probably why
i will just take your word on it
i am not trying to belittle her achievement, because at the end of the day it is still impressive. Just found it a bit odd because when I see clips from her I thought she would be like plat. (not that that is bad or anything)
i think it was a meme, but i dont watch streamers much/only watch pros and theyre better than their opponents anyway nor am i from NA so i wouldnt know, but when I watched some of her games, she doesnt play how most immortals in my games play
at the end of the day she still hit immortal, which isnt that unimpressive.
i never spent much time in EU plat, but I feel like she would be better than most of the mental patients I have come across there
Man I refuse to believe she is immortal. I played cs for almost two decades and there is no way in chance I would ever get into immortal let alone this streamer lol
but she still did, and I dont like discrediting her for it. evidently NA is significantly less skilled than EU when it comes to ranked (while I do still think that hitting Immortal in EU is just a matter of grinding)
LOL you played CS longer than my age (im 17)
yeah but it kind of a cope out. discovered cs in 2000 or 2001, played with bots until 07' played competitively from 08' - 12' then the game died so 13' onwards pubmaster lmao
nah I didnt have a good enough PC back then and when I did I found it too slow movement and community toxic af they can't stand losing 1 round lel.
don't know why people are surprised. the fact that the kid that plays on controller with only judge is radiant should tell you that mechanical skill is not that important when it comes to climbing ranked in valorant
the only reason i am surprised is because when i see clips of her, I really didnt think she would be immortal but it just seems like na's skill level is low
from what ive seen of her she isnt bad idk if she deserves immortal but shes definitely diamond atleast
yeah, she isnt, but she isnt someone id look at and be like; "theyre pretty good"
it's really not that hard to believe. the vast majority of fps players in any game are not even close to a competitive level, even at immortal. comp is just pugs and it's nothing like how the game is actually supposed to be played.
When I look at Rank Distribution in ranked and Immortal being the top 0.5% of all players, you should expect some sort of mechanical skill. I look at Pokimane and while, yeah - she definetly isn't bad at the game, I would not say she is better than 99.5% of players. (I would guess maybe Plat)
i hit immortal 3 before i started counter-strafing and i had a 10% headshot percentage at the time
LMAO alright yeah NA ranked is a joke
I am trying my best not to discredit her, but from what I have been hearing in this thread, I really cant keep that up LOL
Obviously every region's high elo has some people that really dont deserve it (not saying pokimane doesnt deserve it in NA, since evidently everyone is pretty bad) but I feel like in EU most atleast look like they have played the game before, although occasionaly you get some outliers who move like the bots in black ops 2.
yeah, obviously - but it's the only thing in the game that properly expresses someones skill
watching someone play is probably the best way to see how good they are especially if they are immortal since there is a huge skill disparity in that rank compared to the other ranks
I think that is part of the reason why they changed it back to the way it was in Act 1. But it doesnt change the fact that when someone goes: "Oh, I am immortal" - you kind of expect them to have some level of skill and not the movement of somebody who doesnt know what theyre doing (that's the best way I can describe her movement, I think - she looks lost and reacts slowly to stuff but her aim is alright)
Maybe she doesn't have the most craziest mechanical skills but it seems like she worked hard to get there. Maybe she was being a good team player and commed well. She also aim trained and stuff like that. I think we should give her some credit for this one.
100% - I am not trying to belittle/discredit her achievement, because it is still impressive, but I was just surprised because watching her made me think she was Plat at best.
I would say it's even more impressive doing this while also streaming. She obviously worked hard, but I can assure you she would need to work even harder to do that in EU.
she played with shahz yes, but not all the time. she actually solo queued to diamond, and solo queued many games after playing with shahz as well. she's having fun (I hope) and this is a great accomplishment so I don't see this discussion going any further
Yeah, this is all I wanted to know since I dont watch her myself
I am just getting flamed for being D3 in EU so I am just trying to rectify myself
idk about NA ranked but SEA ranked is an ocean of ranks u dont know who is an iron in gold u dont know who is a plat in bronze etc.
I don't watch her, but to be surprised she hit Immortal on her own is laughable. She currently plays Valorant for a living. She has all the time in the world to get good if she wants to.
Shahzam is overrated. I'm more useful then shahzam. If Sentinels take me to the team I can carry with my Jett skills. I'm gold because of bad teammates. I deserve radiant.shahzam is overrated. I carried pokimane to immortal on my alt account.
Everytime I watch an na valorant streamer, by watching the gameplay, mechanics wtv I always think like around gold then I find out they're high plat-diamond, I wish I was baiting
She has an expensive gaming chair, top gear and 360 hz monitor, while the average diamond player probably still plays on 60 hz.
valorant content creators have spoiled us lmao..you dont have to be an insane jett main doing 360s to reach immortal..she seems like a really good role player to me
imagine being so down that u try to roast a multi-millionaire for being bad (apparently) in a video game
She isn't too bad at val but for the most part, she just 5 stacked with alot of friends and then got somewhat boosted by ppl who were better
