Riot has done this for all playoffs:
Americas #1 and EMEA #1 are the #1 seeds of playoffs (meaning they will play the #2 seeds from the groups (ezier match-up))
Pacific #1 and SA#1 (now EMEA #2) are the #2 seeds of playoffs (meaning they will play the #1 seeds from the groups (harder match-up)

highly likely that its true that they hid comps and strats but i dont think TL really did anything crazy either, it was an inevitability that nats was gonna play KJ anyways considering how meta she is rn.
