So far, we have news that ZETA makes it for the franchising and I just read a tweet about Detonation Gaming will also make it for the partnership. How are you feeling about this? I mean there are severals established orgs such as Crazy Raccoon, FENNEL, REJECT and etc. who didn't get their spot for the franchising. Personally, I feel it's such a pity, especially for CR. It's just my opinion though, I'm curious about yours.

Detonation gaming dominate Japanese league of legends for a long time. It makes sense if they get in as second slot.

oh fan wise and popularity CR is bigger at least in terms of valorant. i say dgw is 'bigger' since they have higher salaries and have a long history and reputation. depends on ur definition of 'bigger'

DNG keeps making terrible decisions on valorant and wasting Suggest's career for sure but as a esoprts org they are really big.
They have tier1 rosters on every game too. Especially they have strongest LoL team in JP so they already have connection to Riot.
I bet they will get actually good roster for next year with JP/KR players.

CR is basically JP Sentinels. They are so popular rn and have INSANE amount of zoomer clout.
Also they will keep making JP/KR roaster too. I still trying not to believe rito actually kicked them for 4 KR slots.

Other orgs are smaller(RC/Nth/FAV/SG) or shady(FENNEL) so I already knew

shady could be bad word because they already bought LJL spot
but their CEO is young and somehow keeps buying every good roster in every game(CR/Reject both have young owner like FENNEL too but at least they are popular)
I guess he is mega rich with mobile gaming money
I can confirm they have no popularity with that good rosters in Japan

Maybe its because CR valorant controversy a year ago regarding Rion/Francisco and CR owner Ojiji caught using smurfing account. CR owner Ojiji was punished with 50% less salary for a year.

Detonation is also established org, good at LOL,Apex, fighting games.
But in terms of popularity...CR is by far the best.

They are just giving slots to already RIOT partner teams . CR should have got a chance they are really popular

As for DNG's financial situation, it has a financial deficit of 59 million yen for the fiscal year ending May 31, 2022.
I don't know about other CR, RC, FL, etc., but CR has a large store and game space in Shibuya.
I have the impression that RC and FL are mainly sponsored, while CR mainly finances its departments with store profits.
In terms of popularity, CR is overwhelming.

PS
Gamewith, DNG's parent company, is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, it is assumed that the mother company can afford it.

the other JP org would be FAV, as they are owned by Kadokawa. Japanese media conglomerate that produces anime such as Kimi no Nawa (your name), Weathering with You, Overlord, Made in Abyss etc.

just to let you know, Kadokawa Chairperson was arrested few weeks ago because they gave bribes to Tokyo Olympic Committee to become their sponsor.
So i don't know about them getting franchised

The reality is JP region esports scene is not fully develop yet. Certainly, riot would not want to risk it. Them getting 2 spots is the best outcome I would say.

Question for JP folks:
Is Ojj even serious in making CR a top class esports org? 💀

He only care about the APEX team as they recently got apex skin
https://twitter.com/ApexTimes/status/1572425860740939778

Also he doesnt really focus on their Valo/Fortnite roster that much. Been busy making merch instead.

How do you know that he doesn't really focus on them? I know their Apex division is popular but it doesn't mean he only cares for one tho. For Valorant division, Astell went to Japan this year, it was sponsored by the org and they provided bootcamps for all the members as well because all of them don't live in Tokyo. Along with Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, and Clash Royale division. I feel bothered as well with their merchandise tweets so far in their main account but your statement about Ojiji doesn't care about other than Apex division is just hallucination statements from you where he really cares a lot about his kids in the company.

First, there are no real jp fans here they use thespikegg
Second, his objective is more about building a fanbase for every member because according to him ' futures pros need both popularity and ability' ( https://esports-world.jp/interview/11884 is a good interview)
