VCT Franchising

If VCT were to get franchised, which teams would you want to see from each region, and would you want a fully franchised LEC system, or a Promotion/Relegation European football pyramid?

My picks for a franchised EU League
Fnatic
Liquid
Acend
G2
Heretics
Giants
Gambit (if it would include CIS, if not - Guild)
1 Wildcard

NA:
Sentinels
100T
Envy
C9
V1
XSET
FaZe
1 Wildcard

OCE:
Order
Peace
Wildcard Gaming
Bliss
Trident
Mindfreak
Soniqs (if they want to come back, if not - Nebula)
1 Wildcard

I don't really follow other regions, so I can't choose for them. If you do, feel free to leave your ides here

i'd rather the current open qualifiers than franchising but riot will 100% move towards franchising

I'm not sure if franchising will happen in 2022. It's still very soon. If you look at LoL, they waited a lot. Regional leagues are very likely to happen, but that is not the same as franchising.

it will take a while, and seeing that Riot is reacting and changing decisions in favour of the community, if the community doesnt like the idea then they most likely wont move towards that, but in the end I still havent seen Riot take a harsh change towards valorant and franchising might be the first move like this. It will bring them ez 100 mil+ in revenue if they do so.

no, what they are doing right now is fine tbh
since valorant is so young it gives people the chance to shine through these open qualifiers which will help the game grow
so at least for now they should keep what they're doing
i also want them to keep it this way its hype for me lmao

IF they were to franchise, (and feel free to bully me if V1 win LCQ), I would prefer LG instead of V1 because they've been consistently top 8, while V1 had 1 run, albeit a good and long run, thanks to reading the meta. I don't think they'll franchise at least before 2023, though.

I hope they do a hybrid franchising which is like a kind of regional league/open system.. like open in the sense that anyone can technically make it into worlds through grueling competition, kinda like an LCQ but for tier 1.5/2 teams through a lengthy series of competition. Then say the top 1 or 2 there get to go to worlds while teams who bought in as tier 1 get a pass into direct vct competitions for the titles through the regular seasons.

I haven't thought too deeply on how the details would work, but it should be possible.

Depends on if CIS has their own league. If not, I don't think they'd make the elite EMEA league

yes, I felt that with riot (and I'm pretty sure many, if not the majority of people thought the same thing) franchising was almost inevitable. I didn't expect it so soon, but here we are
