i check in liquidpedia, only 250k dollar prizepool in MSI 2022, how prizepool so low in the biggest esport in the world?

i think bcs they use franchise system, so the team ain't really care about the prizepool.

League is like football, most of their income are from salary. It is probably the most similar to sports in all of esports in money atleast. League pays some of the highest salary in esports so despite having low prizepool, the value of winning it is very high cuz winning it = your value skyrocketing. An example that came to mind was SwordArt who got signed to a 2-3million deal ( cant rmb the correct figure ) after worlds win.

No one cares about the prize pool in the league.

Just look at the salaries of some players

the salary of players in LoL is too big, especially in lck/lpl so prize pool doesnt matter much. Also MSI is not such an important event tbh

Prizepool is last thing people care about in LoL Esport
