Explain the gunplay skill argument

Can someone concretely explain why exceptional players will simply not exist in Valorant?

I've yet to see a solid argument. What exactly makes CS gunplay THAT much more skilled than Valorant? little differences don't cut it.

I'll still die on the hill that on a team-level, Valorant provides more than enough to allow better teams to stay dominant - just that such a team hasn't shown up yet due to the freshness of the esport.

Cs fan boys are on high copium if they think in 5 years this game doesn't have higher overall team and mechanical ceiling. Look at how much the game will Change in a short time . Cs stays the same lol.

Lol valve never updates or change their game the game been stale for so long. That's why u see the same top players dominatinating and the scene recycling players.

that's not what we see in csgo at all. old players get replaced by younger players every year. some older players do manage to be able to stay in tier 1 on experience, but most cannot.

the reason csgo doesnt change and its remained popular and even grown all these years is just because of that, it doesnt need to change.

cs has a set spray pattern that u can learn

vlr is random, thus luck is a bigger part of it, and just skill cant bring u all the way

Exactly.

Tbh gunplay just feels more precise in cs, plus spray patterns add to it as well

i think the biggest difference between csgo and valorant is the movement.

faster model + small hitbox, movement NEEDS to be mastered to become a top player, set spray pattern which reduces randomness

#7

slow movement, big and easily visible character models, more simple and clear maps, those make it easier for me atleast

CSGO guns have lower accuracy when use on the run. When you’re standing still or crouching, the aim accuracy in CSGO is better.

AWP retains much of its accuracy while on the move and one can be very aggressive with how one uses it ( Operator it's not very mobile and the shots get very inaccurate if you’re shooting while on the move. To be accurate with the Operator, you need to stand still every time you take a shot.). The same goes for CS: GO's Scout as well, when compared to the Valorant counterpart, Marshal.

The spray patterns between the CS: GO and Valorant guns are drastically different. Valorant has basically a bad spray pattern, The Spray pattern of the automatic guns in Valorant makes a kind of a tree pattern. It first goes up, then to the left and then to the right. RNG after 4 bullets.

Valorant has slow movement.

People keep saying CSGO has no tactical, that Valorant it's much more complex because of the utility and skills doesn't know anything about CSGO lol.

Valorant gunplay is higher skillcap than csgo, its more similar to cs1.6, which is a more hardcore game.

Spaying is totally random so someone could be straight whiffing then hit a random headshot, right click, the judge is bullshit(on certain maps) you can hold an entire area of the map with an auto shotty that just 1 hits with little counterplay, hitboxes are smaller in cs as someone said before, you move slow af in val so its easier to hit. Also part of it is map design. Too many maps is nothing but short range which imo makes it easier to aim

Cracked the case

Just give us consistent spray patterns and remove right click and jumping judge and im totally fine with the gunplay. I just hate dying to bullshit plays half of the game

aside from what everyone really says about spraying i dont think that has anything to do with the cap, its the relevant RNG factors; valorant not only has higher moving accuracy across all weapons, the maps are closer range. counterstrike u have to crabwalk to be moving and accurate whatsoever and technically it works just worse in this game but theres little reason to be moving like that when u can full sprint with a rifle and kill ppl in CQB.
The real skill of gunplay relies heavily on tap-burst-spray decision making, whereas cs u can bail urself out with spray control no matter what(assuming ur alive to actually do the spray). The issue is u can just choose option D for dumbass and just run. The weapons will eventually be tuned as this gets changed(hopefully, tweeted today current specter is like prenerf csgo ump) but in the current state the hypothetical cap is lower than cs. The issue we've seen is that its assumed(might even be said i cant remember) that this is to keep more of the playerbase "happy" and it isnt tuned for the peak of the game. RNG kills will always exist and they exist in CS as well but it shouldnt be the undeniable better choice to literally run and gun with a rifle around a corner to kill someone; that should not be reliable, even for someone half hp. This is all just my opinion but i have played both at a relevant enough of a high level, not commenting on teamplay or that aspect aside from the fact i have opinions on it.

heads are 1x1 pixel big when you get an aim duel on long vs a melon head brim
also movement is more punishing if you aren't precise, coming back to cs after playing valorant feel like I'm ice skating
metas change, although it might not be that apparent to non avid viewers

Cs fans just have valorant for existing
