No matter how perfect the opposing team plays s1mple is so mechanically ahead of other players he can win you games . This no not possible in valorant and thats a fact .

winners of biggest tournament to date (ACEND) didnt even qualify for Reykjvavik :|

nobody can be consistently good in this game, everyone on equal footing mechanics-wise

valorant will never, ever have a team with an era like e.g astralis, fnatic

CSGO way too easy and lacks strategy and play design, it's just aim fest. Also AWP way too easy it's like giving bullet bill to 1st place in Mario kart.

this statement is so wrong lol , some teams have a player that just completely carry them and if they're alive the round is not over . For optic its yay, G2 its nukkye ect. There just haven't been someone as good and consistent to remain on top like s1mple or a player like faker yet. Doesn't mean it won't happen one day.

Thing is why does this pop up during these asian upsets when Zeta and PRX beat EU and NA by mostly outaiming them?

is this supposed to be an argument for why valorant is more skillbased?

Obviously the skill ceiling argument is about mechanics and not teamplay

the mechanical skill ceiling alone is irrelevant in a game whose philosophy from the very start of development was to encourage, or even almost force, teamplay .

Either way, how much higher is the skill ceiling in CS? Headboxes are slightly smaller, players move slightly faster, and the guns are deterministic. Is that really so much more than Valorant's mechanics to the point where the difference between the two's ceilings is so far apart? I'd rate it at 50% higher max. That's not enough to convince me that a s1mple of Valorant is "impossible".

(not to mention the fact that the angle diversity in Valorant is much greater due to movement abilities, and the fact that ability usage in itself is an extra mechanic)

Valorant has been around for two years.

CS in some form or the other has been around for decades, and CSGO has been around for a nearly decade itself now.

s1mple wasn't a thing 2 years into the lifespan of CSGO.

this whole argument just feels like the whole CSGO vs CS 1.6 thing again.

competition that comes from the fact the game is more simple (mechanically)

lol faker and s1mple didn't appear till like 3-5 years into the esports. You don't know what you're talking about. Top teams right now haven't even reach peak. In 2 years a normal team that qualify for worlds would have to play at the same level as drx.

Valorant is harder imo. The counterstrafing is the only easy part about the game compared to CS but peeks are much faster so unlike CS you can't hold an Awp angle with a pixel and hit them. Movement is much faster where you have to flick a lot vs Jetts Omens etc.
