1 year less in average age is huge. A team after a year can be completely different.

1 year in average is not huge? you good mate? if each 5 players were 3 months older than each 5 TGRD that's already 1 year and 3 months older than TGRD on average

AVERAGE AGE... do you not understand what average age is, it's when the sum of all ages are divided by the amount of players. That means that it could be up to 5 years in total age, that's a shit ton. I'm not even a guard fan, but 1 year less in average age is much more than you think.

imagine if every team could've come up with an excuse that the other team was older

If it was a 18 year old team against a 20 year old team, then it's fair enough. Same with 17 vs 18 year old team. Early experiences have huge return on experience, if the team is already above the ages of 19-20 or so, then they generally have a lessened return on experience, than earlier on. I mean when they are this young, experience is a fair excuse, at least it isn't MY MOUSE WASN'T WORKING, or MY DOG IN MINECRAFT DIED.

None of The Guard has been to a LAN besides Saya in overwatch and he's one of the only ones playing good

I think the difference is that most of the players in PRX, LOUD, and DRX have more LAN exp. Idk how many of the players in the guard have played on LAN for a decent amount of time compared to the rest

I mean, DRX played both in champs in berlin and VCTKR is mostly just LAN, which allows us to possibly keep drx out of this. As for prx and loud..well prx played matches in berlind. And two of loud's players were in VKS (played in last year's iceland and also champs). However I think the argument for prx and loud are kind of a reach. DRX definitely shouldn't be in this convo though

Loud's performance was also doubted for similar reasons. Having Sacy and Saadhak who've competed in a few LANs now helps them a lot, though.

DRX's core have played multiple LANs too.

The Guard has Saya who last played on LAN pretty recently! In fact, the entire Guard squad played on LAN at Fullerton - https://www.vlr.gg/60391/the-guard-vs-zero-marksmen-black-frag-valorant-major-fullerton-qf.

I feel like they are the most heavily affected skipping straight to playoffs cuz of that inexperience. Sucks their opponents had to be basically "lan veterans." Hopefully they can find their footing tho, I wanna see them do well on the big stage :(

They need lan experience i feel like they're giving way too much respect and not switching up their play.
