In traditional sports, when athletes are accused or even convicted of things like SA, they can still come back as if nothing happened. EX. Kobe.
But in E-Sports, if someone is accused, they're treated as if they should be permanently banned from competing.

Idrc about the whole situation and don't wanna take sides but this is one thing that doesn't make sense.

there was no twitter in 2004 or kobe probably would have been canceled too, twitter is just a shitshow and ruins peoples lives over accusations

Smaller world, maybe. Like esporters are seen as more normal people then athletes, who can look like they stand further away from the average person

Kobe stuff happened in 2000s, while sinatra happened in 2020s. I mean, there is a reason why #MeToo happened. Sexual assaults among celebrities were quite normalised just mere 5 years ago, purely because back then you needed major news outlets to pick up the story. Nowadays, thanks to social media, major news outlets can be skipped all together.

Nevertheless, even in 2000s Kobe was cancelled to some extent. He did end up losing jersey sponsorships and he needed some time for his SA case to blow over.

Esports is still a young industry. I for one don't want it to fall into the same pitfalls as traditional sports or Hollywood; where SA and exploitation are rampant. As an industry professional you should receive consequences just like any other Joe, yes, even Kobe. The elite have too much power and I don't want that in esports.

the only thing that happened is sinatraa says he wants to come back, not a single org has even mentioned picking him up
right now a shit ton of people are going against him coming back and trying to get him completely banned, that is very far from him coming back with nothing happening to him

idk he just announced his return so obviously orgs havent mentioned picking him up yet. also because a lot of these orgs have made changes already. also people are against him but nothing has happened to him, Riot hasnt banned him so other than backlash nothing is actually impacting his return so far.
