Can the best valorant players compare to good quake players? Or good OW or cs players?

Because valorant is one of the least mechanically demanding games in the FPS genre (R6 probably least demanding followed by valorant) are the top valorant players comparable to good cs, quake players?

bro if you want geniune answers your question should not contain your pre-existing opinion which already is , that valorant is the least mechanically demanding game in the FPS genre
You're just asking to confirm your opinion at this point and not actually curious.

Learn to read may be?
I said one of the least mechanically demanding, which is actually true.
What's your argument against that?
It's pretty well established that valorant isn't much mechanically demanding no where near games like quake,1.6, csgo or even ow

I honestly have no clue why you think that thats the case since clearly it isnt, its been shown time and time again that mechanically cracked players thrive in valorant

I think thats what he means. like a higher skill ceiling game player would thrive in valorant but not the other way around? hard to explain

Not true tho
Valorant is the least mechanically demanding fps(undeniable tbh) and most top players are actually washed or t3 cs players or ow players

Not really

#16

the thing is, things you say are "obvious" or "undeniable" are just subjective and it's not like everyone in the fps community agrees on it, so it's not really undeniable it's just an opinion

#18

I mean its pretty well established in the FPS community that valorant isn't very mechanically demanding
I don't understand what you're trying to argue about here

not trying to nit pick but if you could get links to people saying that it would be great
I'm trying to say that it's not "obvious" or "undeniable" that valorant is less mechanically demanding. it's just your opinion

#21

So what's your argument against that? What's your claim to valorant not being a mechanically less demanding FPS? It's pretty obvious tbh with lenient movement, extremely slow movement speed and easy weapon mechanics. What makes you think games like quake, cs or ow or even fortnite aren't more mechanically demanding?

i like how you say everything without proof either, and then yet ask people for proof

I don't need to have an "argument", since it's not an overwhelming opinion that valorant isn't mechanically demanding. I agree that it's less than cs, but more than other games. If you really want me to, I can mention that valorant has movement abilities that throw you off, counter-strafing which adds to movement skill and the spray patterns for the rifles. Again it's not obvious, it's your opinion. Not everything you believe is "obvious" or "undeniably true".

Tbh you're the one that needs a convincing "argument" since you're pretty much going against the grain in saying valo is not mechanically demanding

#30

Ok so let me correct you and prove why valorant is not very mechanically demanding

  1. extremely slow movement which makes aiming and tracking easy
  2. Largest head hitboxes of any current gen FPS
3.spray patterns don't exist, it's just straight up for a few bullets then random left right turns. So very ez to pick up and master
4.counter strafing (it's a cs specific term so it should be used for its proper meaning) actually doesn't exist as a mechanic (ADAD spam does exist tho).

It doesnt matter how mechanically demanding the game is, the game is designed that way to allow ppl to execute on abilities more effectively. What matters is if the top players are mechanically skilled enough to excel and succeed in CS or quake - and the answer is hands down yes. If they are at the top level of Valo, they are mechanically skilled enough to be decent at either of those games, but they need brainpower to excel in valo as well, so apply some brainpower to their decency at other shooters, and they will learn the game if they want to.

Ok each of the players would get absolutely rofl stomped by quake and cs players (scream was good once but he washed now) and you'd have to coping real hard if you deny that
Id say some of the drx guys, aspas stand some solid chance but not those 3 players

When did I say any of those players could just switch and compete with top tier players? I said they would have decent skill due to their mechanical abilities -and if they wanted to learn the game they would be able to. I played quake and cs before u were born probably. you speak no facts.

Real question is why on earth would any top valo player want to learn quake or CS?

a good ow dps player (sayaplayer) is slightly worse than his teammate (trent) who has valorant as one of the first fps he has ever played

so it literally doesn’t matter. being good in a mechanically hard game won’t make you better

This question is just completely irrelevant tbh. Top valorant players play valorant, not quake. And even the former cs players shouldn't be compared to cs players anymore because that's not their game anymore. The discussion is irrelevant because these players succeeded in valorant because they understand the valorant-specific aspects of the game on top of having great mechanics. It's also basically impossible to answer the question anyway because there is no relevant metric to measure mechanical skill that encompasses all the different skills like flicking, tracking, and movement altogether. So there's no way to reliably answer the question aside from the eye test which is inherently biased because they are different games and these different games have different mechanics and fundamentals.
