Yeah its important, but not for top regions tbh. Team like Fnatic will have no problems playing 1 extra game against some minor region 2nd/3rd seed.

Reminder that last year, Paper Rex was denied an automatic qualification to Champions because they lost their Circuit Points tiebreaker with Bren Esports (now Team Secret) due to them losing the Stage 3 SEA Playoffs to... Bren Esports. They went to LCQ and lost accordingly. Seeding matches matter.

Seeding matches do matter but you don't get extra circuit points for placing higher if you already qualified for another event. You get the circuit points in that other event.

For team like fnatic who rely so much on "unique" tactics, the bye straight to round 2 matters much more than to g2. Fact of the matter is that fnatic showed their entire tactical repertoire during group stage and they simply got figured out by the time late stages of playoffs came around.

It can be true but listen to me, if g2 wins today, they will be 1 round deeper in masters, so Fnatic have to play 1 more BO3 in masters than them, so g2 have an advantage bc they can see other teams playing before they play among them
