Idk how they managed to do it but they made a system that’s worse than franchising
8 teams given millions of dollars every year while every other team gets to sit in the cuck chair

It’s only the bundle money
I know it seems imperfect rn, but only time can show what results will be.
I just don't like how fast many people turn their opinion against this when their team didn't get accepted
What the results will be is obvious. The teams who are happy sitting in the cuck chair will stay and maybe a handful of orgs will scoop a successful open qual team and burn money for 2 years hoping for a partnership slot in 2029
cuz the other 8 team are waste of space , time and money like C9, Furia, DFM. Doesn't benefit them. Doesn't benefit Riot
maybe if they made it every year, teams would actually try, but no its gonna be every 2 years, theres literally no point of trying for the first year
"8 teams given millions of dollars every year while every other team gets to sit in the cuck chair"
You do realize that its objectively much easier for non-partners to attend Masters/Champs in the new format right?
Yeah and then they get their players poached and go back to the cuck chair so it doesn’t actually matter. I do think that for competitiveness this new system is better but for orgs, not so much.
Why the fuck are you spamming the term "cuck chair"??? The the old format, non-partners LITERALLY couldn't do anything but play tier 2. Thats 100x worse cuck chair. so stop saying that
kind of yeah but tier 2 team did have a non zero chance of not being cucked (winning ascension) while now they are 100% guaranteed to be cucked
4 non partners are guaranteed in kickoff. That alone dismantles your entire argument
At minimum 4 for every cup as well
No it doesn’t you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Making ascension is completely different from making the regional cups. Ascension teams got the same financial perks that partnered ones did, that’s not the case now.
i feel like a major factor as to why players went to partnered orgs before was because t2 had no way of going to t1 but now literally you are an open qualifier away from competing alongside the partnered orgs for a global event, and if your team is good enough a player might believe they have a better chance of winning with their team vs a partnered team, but yes the money thing id unfair but that would always be the case for richer orgs like a falcons or smth
you have to be 2 IQ to think this.
Dont just adopt the beliefs of the latest comment of an opinion leader.
Tell me how I am wrong then. Because based on your posts the only argument I’ve seen is you saying that the orgs should actually be happy about sitting in the cuck chair
if they are sitting in the cuck chair now they were actively dying of starvation before
They were equally cucked before and now. The difference is just that there was bigger upside in winning ascension but also a bigger downside in staying in tier 2. And before there were 12 non cucked teams while now there are only 8.
people r so braindead lmao. everyone was complaining the past couple years that "oh tier one teams r so bad, if tier two teams had a chance they would all do better!!!" "if it was open qual these fraud orgs would be irrelevant!!!" but now its "only partner teams have a chance!!!!". the advantage partner teams have over non-partnered teams have not changed, people r just complaining NOW even though we all knew what would happen months ago because riot didnt give any charity slots out
franchising kill tier 2
Complain complain complain this is much better then franchising
For orgs there’s not any real difference, for the scene overall it’s probably a bit better. Way worse than what a completely open system would be regardless.
I agree that an open system would be better from a competitve integrity standpoint but I think theres one big issue with it and its if riot went with a pure open system, pretty much everyone loses money. Its all good until a NRG leaves valorant becuase theyve been shit for a couple of years and lost hundreds of thousands/millions. Atleast this way the big orgs are incentivised to stay and continue investing while allowing t2 too have more of a chance to shine
also I doubt riot minds franchised orgs having a bit of an advantage since having bigs orgs make internationals consistently means more viewership + team bundles sold
