they don’t deserve a slot. good org but they don’t have fame (nobody watch game or buy bundle). and didn’t do well in a lot of years. hot take but i think NAVI JR becoming the main NAVI they can do same result without losing a lot of money

they themselves didn't even apply for a slot lol. They don't even care abt this game it's just sad atp, they should quit and invest all their money in the one fps where they're somewhat successful (CS), they're not even developping CIS or Ukraine in val anymore

there's nothing to develop lmao. nothing. you can't make people be interested in a game where they don't show interest

there is definitely a lot of talent in CIS as a whole, they just refuse to hire russians which I understand but then precisely why stay in the esport? They haven't even showed interest in SunfloweR who's the one actually good ukrainian player, bro was on a random unsalaried team and wasn't even offered a bag for the academy lol

interest as if viewers. fucking inner circle (4th biggest ukrainian roster in cs) has more viewers than navi valorant. they dipped (or riot rejected them) cuz both recognize the region is just not interested in val. same reason why spirit weren't even rumoured, if spirit wanted to get in, they would, they are a way bigger org than most teams who flirted with partnership. cis as a region just doesn't give a shit. most players you see are basically nothing compared to cs or even dota playerbase

if spirit wanted to get in they wouldn't be able to cuz Riot wouldn't accept

why? spirit are not a russian org. they are a serbian org (technically), and they are against the war (as per their post in 2022), so they are the best cis representative candidate. and it still doesn't change the fact cis is not interested in val

oh I didn't know that they were serbian owned
but it's a vicious circle. The audience isn't interested because orgs aren't interested, if a CIS org was having good results at a high level I'm quite convinced theyd have pretty good following. Considering the conditions they have towork in the CIS talent pool is quite impressive,so I don't see why an audience wouldn't follow the same kind of trajectory

they are basically still the same people, but they had a big journey to move to serbia. basically to cut the story short but to explain, the war caught their dota roster in dubai at what would then be rebranded as ewc, so while they were busy playing the tournament (with PEACE advocating jerseys) their managers were scouting the entire europe for a place to relocate, helping their ti10 winning player (mira) get out of ukraine and just dealing with this stress. the moment the tournament ended they all booked the belgrade hotel for like several months while their hq was being set up, but now they set it up, and just as many cis esport orgs (aurora, parivision, betboom, 1win) they now reside in serbia.

As for success, true, but the peak of cis valorant had an insanely poor timing of peaking in the midst of a navi cs era and spirit's first TI run, so it wasn't a main attraction, it was a ''oh and also apparently gambit guys won masters''

their academy was already unreal though, so I dont think its fair to question that scouting
3-4th best t2 team in EMEA is crazy work for 5 unknown kids

their academy wasn't unreal no it was just a solid team with a bit of talent in Darxcio and Kolosha. And sunflower clears any of the players on the roster especially Sizo and Avey. The main reason why they were much better than other T2 teams was simply the structure brought by an experienced guy like Johnta

genuinely crazy reductive take
like ik this is vlr but... man.... im genuinely worried about how people watch t2 now if this is what one of the most active viewers took away

reductive what? they were a solid team, nothing crazy compared to actual crazy T2 teams like FF EP LEVacad etc... they did not have a single player who could come close to MVPing an international unlike the teams I quoted

Again 3-4th best with players none of the major t2 teams even looked at
and the reducing it to
"solid team"
"the main reason why they were much better than other T2 teams was simply the structure brought by an experienced guy like Johnta"

hot take their team on paper is the best in emea. I would go as far as to say hiro and ruxic are both top10 players on their day. If chloric could perform theyd be the best itw.

I think its just clout issue. I mean pretty much no one cared for them. They did some decent content (dont know recently as I havent watched) also their rosters weren't terrible but just never went that far. Like compared to TL, FNC, KC, M8, FUT, BBL, TH their popularity and relevancy as org in Valorant is weak.
