Should they remove the champs points? A criteria that determines a qualification for champs based on a team's performance throughout the year or they should make the qualification for champs based on the Top 4 placement at stage 2 playoffs.
I beleive in the latter as many teams fall off during the end of season and may still qualify whereas the current team in form may lose out qualification due to lesser points.
I beleive a region must always send their best 4 current teams as teams like heretics still have a chance over teams like FF

No, but T2 teams shouldnt have been penalised by not participating for the 2 first split. The 2027 format solve this isuue.
True, but again, heretics may qualify when they're shit is still bad. But anyways as u said the next format solves it
Maybe the problem is that
- EMEA is a mess with no powerhouse if they qual they will be really really lucky and need a perfect astral alignement for the 3 next game (FUT win, TL win, TL win)
- Finish 1st in regionnal bring to many point
- A team that bomb 0-2 in masters got same number of point than a team that make 2-2 (You just need 1 game to score another point)
The championship point is a good idea, but I do think we could change the number to have something more fair. What would you like the 4 team to qual (if KC do 0-2 on the 2 final games) ?
They should have a LCQ, Double Elimination system for teams placed #3 and #4 in Stage 2, and the Top 2 teams in terms of points. Just so that points matter, but it does not almost guarantee you a spot in Champions. This way it will just give the team more chances, which is worth fighting for.
Good point, one team qualified in point + LCQ based on point would be great.
- top 2 of split 2 is qual
- 1st in point qual
- 2nd in point is in final LCQ
- 3rd in point is in semi LCQ
- 4/5th is in quarter LCQ
So the teams that won during the year and did wel just counts to fuck all. I mean 2 places to points imo should go down to 1 for sure. So that only that top team on points gets into champs but 1st-3rd in that final split gets into champs
Champs points are definitely necessary but I can't lie ever since there's been two slots per region off champs points the regions are a lot more boring. Americas pretty much has 3 full slots guaranteed because of it, and it was even worse last year. G2 had already guaranteed champs qualification before they were done at toronto
This year along with vit we may even see TH whos worse than every team in emea playoff rn
not only are they worse than the 4 teams left but they're worse than most of the play-in teams too
Remove "Apex Neon" agent from the game first. But yeah Champs points should change for 2027, don't need that bullshit.
