You mean we signed a duelist to play duelist rather than force our initiator on the role and signed and someone to simply play initiator rather than use them to replace our master winning igl? Already better than Kaplan.
One thing to sign mediocre players mid season when many promising players are already locked down and you have to be quick about moves after a terrorist trashed your team. Its another to put a top 5 duelist in the world on omen and put a guy who hadn't played duelist in 2 years on duelist after he was frying on flex/intiator. Give me mediocre moves over braindead moves. KRU belts M80 too dw.

I've argued with many on his decisions specifically. Define throwing someone under the bus? What did he say that was objectively not graceful? He explained his reason for his actions. I do not think anything he did is unnecessarily harmful, nor rude, nor even insensitive. And I think if that is your take, then it may be important to remember it is a job.
i watched his stream and he basically just ranted about zekken leaving for 45 minutes and how it was kaplan's fault (even though we know it wasn't), the graceful thing would basically just be to say "hey, kaplan was great for us but his recent roster-building decisions were horrible so we decided to part ways"
You're stating nothing of substance there. And if you disagree with him going that deep into things thats an entirely different statement from what you said. Again, wdym "ranted"? At no point does he come off as angry or even really frustrated. You can absolutely say it was Kaplan's fault? It is very possible MIBR never approached Zekken if he's signed. Pretty sure fr0d even said, at one point, when talking about Zekken, they were looking at the open options. If Zekken is sighed hed likely never even be considered an option. That literally is essentially what he said? You're upset he went into detail.
you should watch it back he was seething, also zekken was given an offer, rob is just convinced that he didn't pick it up because kaplan didn't plan to have him on duelist even though we know zekken wasn't the main duelist for every team he trialed for including MIBR
I remember it pretty vividly, down to pretty much each point made. He at no point comes off as hostile, angered or aggressive towards Kaplan. If anything, the point where he gets the most heated is in having to justify HIS choice. And people criticizing him wrongly so for HIS choices not in direct relation to Kaplan. Zekken was not giving an offer for duelist, so that's irrelevant the role he's played for years idk why anyone brings this up. A team that might have been like this is say NRG before getting Keiko. NRG have a duelist... a duelist they just won with. C9 has a good duelist. MIBR has a good duelist. Many teams have good duelist for SEN Zekken is the good duelist. These comparisons are stupid these teams are just looking for firepower and a potential secondary duelist. So none of these other potential teams are doing anything even near as egregious as Kaplan. I don't think Rob would simply not know these things, considering Zekken came to him with the offer before anything, and the team was already internally flawed and questioning Kaplan's decisions. And is also why defending kaplan is an uphill battle you just have to assume Rob moore is malicious in his intent towards him which is dumb.
people criticized him because he was in twitter replying to people telling him to drop players, that's why he came out with the stream to justify himself and portray himself as the hostage owner losing his team to a dictator coach , don't make me pull up the stream with timestamps where he crashes out i have better things to do
Also i'm not defending kaplan, just saying how he was scapegoated so rob could save face again, the mf literally made an owner podcast episodes a couple months ago saying how hard it is to be an owner

Many people have said before that zekken never got an offer from SEN that offseason, until it was too late. At least not until it was almost ening and MIBR had approached him already so idk what's your point.
Also a very interesting thing about the whole situation imo is the fact that Kaplan choose to banter with SEN in interviews after, but never cared to tell his side of the story or take accountaibility for the bad roster and comp choices he made. Even in a very recent interview with Ravish he's talking about how SEN will have all the pressure and he wouldn't wanna be in that position.
To your last point, I think it's very obvious ppl knew kaplan wanted zekken off duelist, so naturally the teams would hear about this and trial him on something else. Also the fact that most teams had their duelist spots filled doesn't really help. This is a very common occurence in all sports.
he did, he never got a main duelist offer (rob says this), zekken was literally in most of the SEN trials alongside zellsis if you were keeping up with leaks, he would have likely stayed but mibr just gave him a great offer and he took it, it is what it is
