I'm taking AP Physics 1 this school year, but it's a virtual class and I haven't been given any guidance or coursework to follow. Am I cooked if i have to use Khan Academy only for studying / learning?

AP physics 1 is chill, took it last year and got a 5 while using VLR on the review days, also did 0 studying all year until midnight on the day before the test

they deadass give you half the formulas on the test

Since when does the Associated Press teach physics?

idk about physics but I used claude ai to generate me a bunch of practice frqs/mcqs for my orher ap exams so u can try that to practice + give u materials unless you dont believe in using AI then ye khan academy will do the trick & ofc all the YT vids

"grow up" he says and means im supposed to give up on my ability to form a rational thought or to understand a complex concept.

it's much more nuanced than that but since you came up with the extreme I don't think you are doing what you say you give up using AI, it's up to the user and not the tool and cameran didn't advice dismissing any cognitive work

Idk in addition to what i said above i think wasting 200 litres of water to generate something that for sure already exists online and can be found through a simple search is useless and lazy.

you know people use AI for more than just an advanced search engine lmfaoooo

and the "water guzzling" cope is blatantly incorrect and stupid, golf courses use triple the water annually and golf courses provide magnitudes less economic value

general industry consumes much more than any AI company, and I thought we were grown enough to consider that there's different uses of AI besides searching? surely talks lots about you

i also used claude to generate some AP problems but honestly it’s not worth, just use old released tests and then send your work to claude, you’ll get more value if she tells you where you went wrong for problems that already exist because sometimes she doesn’t have exact information so her questions may be too easy or too hard, i got a couple questions from her on things that weren’t covered but were covered in past years

gravity is 9.8 or something like that

actually, we use 10 for gravity on the AP physics 1 exam for ease of calculations

thats not real tho, plus dont u have a calculator

you do have a calculator but with g = 10 it’s faster to do the math in your head than to use the calculator

wouldn't rely on khan acad bc from experience the material is very fundamental, yeah physics1 is too but there's lots of resources online after you get used to the trivial stuff

Online resources have come a long way honestly. I studied a bunch of maths from 3blue1brown back in school.
