How high does NRG need to place at Champions for them to "defeat" the Champs curse?
Obviously making it to Champs is I think the bare minimum. If they get top 8, are they fine? Top 6? Top 4?

Well so far Acend fell off, LOUD did good in 2023, EG fell off, EDG far subverted expectations, and NRG definitely did not do as good as they thought they good at Tokyo.
Maybe not a well-defined curse but it's undeniable that it's hard to stay at a world-class level across years.
yes because that’s just how a game with a constantly shifting meta works
you can make a case for pretty much every masters winner too
I mean yeah, Masters winners are probably even worse off. My question was just like, how good do they have to be to be above average in terms of coming off a championship year, if you know what I mean, IDK if it's worded well.
i dont see it as a curse, just the effect of winning + a game like valorant
players get more offers, maybe a player completed their goal and then the game changes a lot
eg couldn't keep their roster due to internals, not worthy of a "curse"
edg was good until yoru became hard meta, and then are good again once he isn't
They already beat the champs curse man let it rest
Even loud did that way before NRG
