"its not art" is always said by people who cant engage with anything past the surface level, symbolism, metaphor, and further meaning is lost to them. same mfers who like ai pictures and shit.
the general public think a piece of art is garbage if it isn't a hyper realistic depiction of Jesus or a mountain
