This is the end of this argument
- Timing of the event. Obviously the timing is horrible, teams that made london have barely any days to prep, and also teams (like LEV) that were focusing on masters didnt care about qualifications, so some of the best teams in the world including the most recent champions are missing.
- Online qualifiers, do i really even need to explain why this is obviously awful?
- Single elimination Playoffs. Probably the biggest issue with this tournament, a team needs one SINGLE game to get top 4 while teams that get unlucky matchups dont have the possibility to go on a lowers run (which lev just did at London)
- Teams care less. All of these teams care more about stage 2 and champs so they likely have way less prep and interest in winning it. The money is only an incentive but it doesnt make it any less mickey
- Production issues. I think we can all agree the production is ass, from 2 hour tech pauses, to EWC swapping the position of coaches and coaches being able to see the full setup of the other team. The production is absolutely horrible
- Not all regions have equal number of teams, and the first games are already regional matchups
it doesnt feel like a real tournament, and im not even gonna get into the ethics of this. Teams only see this as a "if we make it far good so we get money", they're not trying and nobody sees this as an actual event, i would deadass rather win a mickey like SaoPaulo over this
