It was a foul to deny a clear goal scoring opportunity... Jonathan David was about to shoot at a keeper from just outside the box with no defenders (which is a goal the majority of the time) and he got tripped
The initial call was yellow card + penalty (which is fair), but when VAR checked and it was just outside the box it was changed to red card + free kick (a bit harsh, but still fair)
Messi did worse and didnt even get a yellow 😭
honestly deserved, if he was the goat like Messi and not a random NPC, he wouldnt get a red card
