Is Jokic top 10 all time already? 3 time MVP, 8x All-Star & All-NBA, 1 Ring & Finals MVP during that run

He definitely has the accolades to have a good argument for it, the only argument i've heard against it is recency bias of him not making a finals run every single year

bro no, it's largely the same as shai

think about it like this, find a few top 10 lists online and look at their accomplishments, most won't have exactly the same people, but 1-13ish will be around the same

now make your own personal top 10 from those players

who the hell is getting kicked out? jokic, or shai, or giannis, etc. etc. etc. just aren't there yet, the top 10 all time in the nba is a different caliber

just needs more time

(this is my personal top 10)

  1. LeBron James
  2. Michael Jordan
  3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
  4. Magic Johnson
  5. Larry Bird
  6. Bill Russell
  7. Wilt Chamberlain
  8. Tim Duncan
  9. Shaquille O'Neal
  10. Stephen Curry
  11. Nikola Jokic
  12. Kobe Bryant

I think that Kobe is incredibly overrated purely off the fact that people think he was some type of "work ethics beast" because he was a dick to everyone around him and was one of the biggest factors behind Shaq leaving Los Angeles.

i think that the concept of an all time starting 5 is kinda dumb considering the fact that the players today are infinitely better than people like 50 years ago but if i had to have one it would look like this:
PG: Curry
SG: MJ
SF: LBJ
PF: Tim Duncan
C: Shaq

little nitpick is that i'd have hakeem above him still but that's personal bias i suppose

this looks pretty much agreeable to me (not the order of the top 10, just the contents) and i'd have kobe even lower tbh, i think his career is super overrated

jokic is close, much closer than shai on top of it

nah i have timmy 3rd and kareem 4
timmy is the most valuable player you could ever have on ur team, brings no ego, leadership, buckets, defense, dude can do everything u need from a 4 or 5 and does it better than almost everyone else. plus has the best winrate of any nba superstar
