Valorant is dead

I hopped on my friend's Diamond 3 account after her pleading for her rank up game. No surprise, I nearly dropped 40 kills, but checking the end scoreboard, she's Diamond 3. There are some Ascendants in the lobby, which is normal. But there were also like four platinums in that lobby. What the fuck?

It just feels like the game is dead.

I thought so, but it seems odd for the lobby to have a mix of platinums, ascendants, and diamonds. Normally it's between two ranks.
