you can’t be an international choker with a trophy. at least not in the short span of this games livelihood. maybe if they don’t get another for several years but they’re only tourneys away from their previous win, that’s not choking.

i mean tbf if you look at most of their deep tournament runs without reaching a grand final they never looked like favourites when it got to playoffs (reykjavik, tokyo, madrid, seoul) and when theyve reached grand finals copenhagen and santiago were chokes but la wasn't, eg were just better on the day

i think choking very heavily relies on the idea that they lose in a manner which shouldnt happen whereas most of their shortcomings are predictable by the time they lose
