Truth about Champions slots

Why people started to shit each other region? Problem isn't SA having 4 slots, EMEA 3 slots.
But why only 12 teams, champions only 16 teams? Why???
They should increase to 24 and give these new slots to small regions like India, OCE, etc.

that would require extra time and money. Resources that small indie companies like Riot don't have. Maybe one day when they're big enough we'll get that.

yeah the more the better but I still fail to understand why are they giving EMEA fewer spots than other regions, to be honest
