Like I would've wanted Oke to stay since I thought he was kinda clean on lev but he really hasn't been performing much on EG so I guess I can understand why. If they are rebuilding though they should be dropping another 1 or 2 players imo

If you watch EG management and coaching for the past 2 years I wouldn't be surprised I think the management and coaching system behind this team is by far one of the worst. Rather than focus on strengths they focus on anti strats and gimics that never work they remove and pickup the complete wrong players and it seems they're so inconsistent with their map pool that if they by some miracle win a map against a team that map automatically becomes their best map.
If you're a EG fan like I used to be you would want Oke to stay yes he has talent but under this team for a few months seems to have lost all confidence and skill and he heavily under performed.
If I was EG management I would've kept the roster that actually came close to competing in 2025 and made it better with -icy +dgzin - supamen + oke instead of nuking the roster and keeping your most inconsistent player.
Now they fucked that team up I would've kicked everyone except Dgzin picked up kaplan, yay, v1c and grabbed maybe 2 rookies or vets from T2 but instead they're atm keeping bao who looked like a KJ turret the entire split 1 and supamen that has a good game maybe once every split.
imagine if EG 2025 had a coaches like ewok and warbirds… they would have actually done something other than have 1 good run in stage 1

There is genuinely no need to make these changes with the whole neon meta getting nerfed soon. EG looked so good when they can play their numbers properly and aren’t getting run down with shotguns
I would argue the only time EG looked competitive was when either Dgzin is 1v9ing or the entire EG roster buys bucky's and sits in corners.
Going 0-4 and winning a single map 14-12 the entire split isn't good enough to be blaming on Neon meta they're paid professionals everyone else can win maps and series why can't EG when you want answers to that question you need to cut players.
Because I felt this as a fan of the 2025 roster they don't seem to focus on their strengths it's like they put all their time into anti stratting and gimic comps all the time.
Some teams copy other teams strats and comps (META) and some teams create their own identity (off meta) feels to be EG is always doing some weird shit inbetween
Yeah u got a point, im not saying that no changes should be made tho, im just tryna say that benching com and oke is just not it imo, especially in place for 2 academy players, not to mention supa’s inconsistency and bao struggling to find any sort of identity, is really a terrible change
I just bring up the neon changes because almost every map they drop at least 4 rounds as a result of them not playing against neon properly and just dry swinging.
Maybe I’m wrong but all the tweets about the eg roster made it seem like the pickups aren’t permanent they are jst filling in for the last game in stage 1
