I seen the other thread so now revisiting other so called goat, why do people still hold aspas so highly? He's been irrelevant for a while now at least international appearance wise, he got good stats and aim but so other players. My understanding of the game is nothing but shallow so enlightened me.

Meiy/marteen the only one that I can come up with. Is that the only reasoning? Isn't that kinda paint him as an inflexible duelist, I mean why wouldn't you use/learn meta agents if that improve your teams winning chance?

aspas is how people talked about prime less (like ethan in 2023), gotta be playing IN GAME to understand his extreme impact

he excels the eye test and is one of the most consistent players ever, every team he’s been on had seen success (MIBR, LEV, LOUD) and insanely impactful whenever he’s feeling it (which is most of the time)

many teams centered their game plans around avoiding aspas, most notably NRG at champs paris, all the players talked about how scary aspas is to deal with

Now that you put it like that, I can see why people hold him on high regard.

recently he’s been fluctuating (Terrible at Masters Toronto, Godlike at Champs Paris, Underwhelming in 2026 Kickoff which can be attributed to lack of chem and prac time) so people tend to use his toronto and kickoff performances to drag him down which is why you may see them question him

I mean he got verno and zekken with him, those come with high expectations.

they still got 4th with limited practice so it isn’t the end of the world, a lot of teams tend to miss out on kickoff

So does furia no? They went with a roster overhaul and solidified the roster early December compare to mibr's mid December. But regardless I agree they perform well and sadly lose close matches.

FURIA played with their roster since mid november and practiced in the off season to figure out their weaknesses, MIBR did not have that privilege because of aspas’ surgery (they were very late to prac compared to every other team)

This FURIA roster will never qualify to an international again.
