Emea sucks at winning events, I agree, but I've seen ppl saying the region isn't competitive with apac and America's which is insane to me, every year since franchising started we have had teams in 2/3 of the international grand finals, in what world is that not competitive with the other regions, our average placement since 2023 is also almost exactly the same as apacs and slightly lower than Americas, again, obviously competitive, we suck at closing events, and historically have sucked at masters1 every year, but if the region isn't competitive how tf are we making grand finals?

If winning was all that was needed for a region to be good why did China not get good after 2024 champs, it's pretty obvious there's more to the strength of a region than trophies
Sure but if emea wasn't even competitive with Americas and Pacific we wouldn't win games Vs those teams or have a comparable average placement but we do, I don't disagree that emea can't win, or even that we are a weaker region than Americas and Pacific rn, just the idea of emea not being competitive with the other 2 when it's as close as it is makes no sense to me.
i feel like the slow tactical play is what makes them seem less competitive
people want to see fights and fights and fights
thats why bbl is a breath of fresh air in emea
EMEA has recently switched to offensive play, very high pressing. I hope that they will succeed and will gain more experience in the future and learn from their mistakes, because I had a great time watching M8 and TL, even though they were eliminated early. And if Neon, Waylay or Yoru get a nerf, the entire meta may go to waste, then EMEA will be on top again.
