Why are only english streams? What's the point of that tho? Like they are losing so many viewers with that, and well I'm obviously talking about all the languages, but especially the Spanish one. Half of the chats in every costream are in Spainsh like wtf. Even Ibai (Easy 100k viewers watching a qual) just got rejected. They don't even have to increase they amount of signals, just let the people use them

Plus why would you let only players stream? Not even coaches are allowed to stream their games, only players, why?

i know coaches, in NA at least, could stream games from last VCT. did they change up the rules for this one?
i’m actually looking forward to 2D map recaps over at spikedotgg. might have to check out the unstreamed TSM games.
as someone who’s unfamiliar w demo systems, would every game from qualifiers have a replay saved? or would that be too much?

Yes that changed, coaches can’t stream the games, players have to. Why would players risk to lose performance for streaming when the coach could easily do it? It’s just dumb

Is not that, nobody other than English streams got the rights. Plus Ibai has had rights before, he asked like with 100k people and still got denied

It could be legislation issues. The EU has weird laws regarding broadcasting in general, and I remember these being quoted in the opens last year.

The french broadcaster is streaming the french teams matches, I have no idea why LVP is not streaming the spanish ones.

it has to do with some conflict to do with lvp then because they have a good studio, idk why they wouldn't stream spanish games

No, it's not, they've had the rights many other times this year, including at champions

Wtf are you talking about? What does that have to do? Why does Mitchman have 20k people when if there was a Spanish stream of the same game there would be 100K there and 3k watching him? English streams are good and necessary but why would we not allow other languages when it literally has 0 costs for anyone? That's a stupid argument, my friend

That’s dumb, first of all is not even about viewership, why would you not let the people enjoy the games they want to enjoy if all it takes you is to say “yes, I allow it”

Plus why would you not one thousands of people watching your qual, especially when many of them would be having a first contact with Val and could discover the game and be potential new fans

It doesn’t have anything to do with LVP, is Riot the one not giving the license

What? Doesn't Riot license it to LVP? Maybe the LVP team is busy preparing for the regional league.

I'm not saying LVP should give a license. They could spectate Spanish games like they did last time, no?

The problem is that it's not only about spectating or having a watch party like in champions, you have to have production + observation.

Idk what is the reason for LVP not to stream, but why would you not let anyone costream? And not, you don't need a production like LVP has, none of the other costreams have, they just receive the clean signal from Riot and commentate over it, you can send that signal to as many people as you want, is the same effort

The problem is you are specifically choosing Spanish teams. That requires an observer that only looks at Spanish games. That's why my first thought is that LVP is perfect for this.

Tho I agree that anyone in the Spanish scene should be able to do it, and there are many people, so idk what happened.

Actually no, the english streams have been choosing the games of the Spanish orgs over and over again today and yesterday. We don't ask for any game that is not already retransmitted. Plus you wouldn't have that problem if you let the players stream

Yeah, but no one can know that beforehand. You need to know that they will stream Spanish games beforehand and license them to Spanish streamers. That's the only way. It just happens to be that people this time chose many Spanish orgs to stream.

Or you can let them watch whatever it is that Riot chose to stream, is not like we only watch Spanish teams, and you can just let 2 people stream the same game, why not? It's in 2 different languages anyway

The format they chose to go with this time is not that, though that's what I'm saying. They made up a new format where there are no rebroadcasters and only observer + streamer pairs and player streams, perhaps to establish a better quality standard. This is why there are also no rebroadcasts or true "watchparties" of other languages. They changed the definition of watch party.
