Why did fur choose prx?

i mean isnt it better for them to choose nrg

no bc regional matchups r 1) boring and they prob want the clout off and 2) nrg wont underestimate them like other amer teams did so they might get owned u never knoow

NRG are a known anti strat team and probably have scrimmed/prac a lot with Furia so they probably understand Furia's gameplan well. So they'd rather flip it against a more team that doesn't know them as well

Unironically I also think NRG's core identity does far better into Furia than PRX's
NRG have enough util to (in theory) clear the scopes, whereas PRX need to use bodies/tempo to overwhelm them

So Furia should have a decent advantage
Now time to watch PRX do the prx thing and just win regardless, just cause they can

regional match-up is scary to be honest because both are quite familiar with each other's playstyle and strats and it all boil down to macros, who is more focus on different situations, who has the mental, who makes less mistakes, etc. The type of battle that Furia makes a small mistake in a round which costs that round, and lost that match in 13-11 just because of that only round they lost focus. NRG definitely have the upper hand here because they built up mental, focus in swiss stage

Meanwhile, PRX have different playstyle and strats, the clash of two different school of thought often results in messy match where you can offer to lose focus in 1 or 2 rounds and win them back with the surprise feature of your strats.

To be more clear, Imagine you are Furia a black belt karate master got to choose betweens 2 opponents to fight: one is NRG who is your familiar fight partner, you and him has fought 100 battles before, he also is black belt karate master but he has beaten 2 tough opponent recently in this week while you hasn't fight anyone for the whole week or you can choose PRX who is a taekwondo black belt master. Which fight is more wise to take based on your currently form?
