wait is vlr tweaking or is this actually the schedule?
surely we punish the teams that lost today right?
why are we putting the winning teams at a disadvantage??

playing back to back days is more tiring, plus the teams that played yesterday already got a day to rest and vod review
yes but losers of the winners matches then get a day to rest and VOD review the losers matches, so I think either way someone's at a disadvantage right
im sure they would much rather have another day to prepare for an opponent that would be considered tougher than the others
well tbf if they win tomorrow they get longer off which is better for the playoff game
plus they get an extra day to prepare against the 1-1 team if they lose tomorrow
I guess but I personally think elim matches should be played before the playoff qual games
How so? IF two of the 1-0 teams lose tomorow, they have the advantage agains the 1-1 teams
the teams that played today now have to play 2 days in a row, while the teams that they are facing already had time to rest and vod review
I think it makes more sense to punish the losing teams timewise than the winning teams
It is what it is.
But since its elimination and tourney life is on the line, you`d better hope the teams are properly prepared. + teams can`t really vod review in advance as they don`t know which team they will face.
Since the swiss stages are completed within consecutive days with no break, it`ll not be possible to have a balanced offset for all the teams.
The winner of the 0-1 bracket will anyways have a disadvantage against the losers of the 1-0 bracket timewise.
Because somehow rito decided to punish teams for winning this year, first the bo5 thing and now this shit
Tbf they dont know which team they'll face before the draw to vod review and sometimes winning gives u momentum right before a match the next day
Anyways both liquid and nrg played today so its fine
holy fuck think beyond one game and you will realize that even if they lose this next game they will have an advantage for the final game which matters the most
would it not make more sense to get more time to prep for an opponent that would be considered tougher?
No, because this way they have more prep time to secure a win against a "weaker" opponent, who in turn has less time to prep against them
The 2-0 winners also get more time to prepare for playoffs
