okay logic being: basically the round win rate difference between 4 rifles + stinger/bucky/spectre vs 5 rifles isnt that big, especially if its like your hard entry dashing in taking point blank fights or like some baiting role where you can steal guns from the floor
the increase to round win rate from like 4 pistols and a rifle (or like you drop your team a couple stingers or buckys) vs 5 pistols is comparatively greater
maybe teams should have 1 person save on full buys

This is already a thing, Navi (FPX) did it a while back, they had 2 people "save" on attack after winning pistol, which made it possible for them to also hunt out other players and potentially get more ult points, as well as not risk losing a lot of money for dying
yeah i know what fpx buy is, but thats a specific strat for round 2 (not a full buy), and you can really only consistently do this on t side
i mean you do this on full buys later into the half
i guess we're seeing a rise in like neons and stuff buying shotguns more consistently on full buy rounds
still feels like a very map-dependent thing.. looks bad if the round goes bad early on and one or two guys are stuck with poop guns
i definitely agree its dependent on map/bombsite
but you can have strats to play around this, trade and have someone pick up the gun after if needed
but why risk it? So one person can afford a gun on an eco? Just doesn't seem worth it in the long run. In certain situations, I guess sure, but overall I don't think it's a strat you could use as a basis
affording a gun on an eco is exactly why you would risk it
although to be fair in terms of macro like purely winning rounds isnt the only thing that matters
which rounds you win matters a lot
by saving more you win more lowbuys but get ecoed more often
i guess its a matter of if that payoff works out. looking at stats it does but obviously its more complex than that

im pretty sure some teams do this
ive seen mada buy a stinger occasionally even when he can buy a rifle
maybe teams could try this out if they have chamber raze neon waylay but its map dependent like sm1 said earlier
what some NA teams do save cash is buy light or regen on full buys after r3 to increase their buy rounds like NRG C9...I think one of their opponents but an outlaw and punished em on a gun round (maybe MIBR) but they still do it
yeah nrg/c9 are pretty heavy half armor believers
funnily enough old nrg also did the half armor thing
idk how good it is anymore considering theres a lot more outlaw and odin use on full buys
they still do it every game and teams don't buy outlaw's vs them... Its still good
