Stats aren't everything

A lot of people tend to assume that if someone has a negative k/d, they are a detriment to the team, and I just don't think that's true at all

I will use myself as an example. I'm plat 2 currently (not the best ik but I was silver 2 seasons ago so I'll take it), and I tend to play smokes most often. My k/d for the act is 0.98, but despite that I still have a 57.6% winrate because I can set up my teammates well.

Even on the agent I tend to play the worst on (Jett), I have a 0.88 k/d, but a 62.5% winrate, as I am constantly looking for entries and getting info.

Just because someone is bottom of the scoreboard, doesn't mean that they are the worst player on the team. A lot of impact can be had by having good vibes, comms, and knowing how to play your role.

someone said it!

even the hs% is a scam.

  1. Sova ults or shock darts don't contribute to it (if u check your kill feed after the round it doesn't highlight any body region)
  2. Raze ult, nade, and satchel damage count as body shots.
  3. Killjoy turret damage is mostly counted as a body shot.
  4. Kayo molly damages the legs.
    etc etc.
As a raze main on most of the maps my hs% isn't very impressive and even then my friends like to boast theirs.

well yeah, it makes sense lol. Its not like youre about to headshot with a nade

yeah but I think that they shouldn't count towards hsp

i think would make more sense to just have kills with guns count for headshot percentage

I mean, I agree, but I like to imagine that theres a world where you can get a headshot with like a KJ molly

Your not interacting with his point. His point is depending on the character you playing your hs% will be deflated due to using ability's. He wasn't saying that nades should count has hs. He is saying that when you look at stats looking at hs% isn't good enough depending on the character your looking at and you should look at more.

Do they count to HS percentage tho? I doubt it tbh

#19

they do. My avg hs% is around 25% but whenever I play raze my it significantly drops to around 18%.

yeah, at the end of the day valorant is a team game. winning as a team is what matter rather than being match mvp but lose

the amount of people that believe is KDA is the end all be all is absurd. they think that most IGLs are shit because they dont go positive every game. like dude the amount of work that goes to IGLing is much more important than their KDA stat

OK PLEASE TELL THAT TO MY LURKING JETT TRYING TO 1V4 EVERY ROUND

That Jett is always a 10year old kid who would scream on 4k stealing kills from the team. I had 120-140 damage on 4 players and 0 kill but the Jett gets an ace.

squeakers have a tendency to squeal out ghost comms at the top of their voices. then again, games are still a learning experience for them.

That is why ACS is the best, it is 1 point for every damage dealt and it also counts non damaging assists like a flash or reveal or smokes. It is basically like the contribution of a player to the team. I'd say it is better to look at ACS in valo rather than K/D. Even the scorecard is based on ACS, sometimes a player with higher K/D is lower than a player who has higher ACS.

You have a high winrate with a 0.88 Jett kd because you are lucky and are getting carried bro

Duelist roles are made for star players with crazy mechanical capabilities
Support roles are actually the anchor of the teams and are harder to replace in pro scene than duelists

So yes, you are partially right.
Your ranked analogy may not be the best for explaining this, but it got your point across.

I just used my own stats so it wasn’t a pro player people were biased against

For example if I said Zombs was good despite his stats being pretty bad I’d get a lot of people automatically disagreeing because they dislike zombs

When you put it that way, maybe it was the right call lol
Zombs really is a perfect example for this claim tho, he really is the anchor of that SEN team
