Can we talk about the SEN roster change comments?

Alright, this is a bit of a tilter but can all the people claiming SEN washed need to roster change please start saying the same about FNC. They have both had disappointing results between the masters 3 and Champions and both had subpar performances against teams they were not supposed to. The loss to liquid is understandable. Now that KRU has beat both SEN and FNC I think people really need to stop discrediting KRU as a team that shouldn't be considered equal with them. Obviously, SEN needs to go back to the drawing board but from FNCs performance so do they. No one is going to be calling FNC to do roster changes, though they may make them. How about we fans stop back seat making decisions that the experienced players can make for themselves. They obviously have a better grasp of where the team is at and what their goals are and how to achieve them.

I feel bad for both SEN and FNC for losing. Forums need to just to let the teams sort their stuff out in their own time and stop harping on them.
Huge Credit to KRU though, they played absolutely insane, I'm curious to how they do against Gambit.

This comment isn't supposed to incite a crap storm below, Just please be considerate of the teams that couldn't deliver and let them sort their stuff out.

Too long did read; SEN and FNC are not in the same situation. FNC has flexible players and can pull off whatever comp they need in every map, SEN, on the other hand, can't. They don't even have any Flex players apart from Sick, who sometimes goes for Pho. Lack of Flexibility was what cost them Split in both against G2 at M3 and KRÜ at Champs. I won't discredit KRÜ either, they fucked the shit outta both teams and have an amazing run atm. TenZ can't even play Raze after he's traumatized by being raze diffed by Mixwell for god's sake. Shahz only plays Sova atm, his Skye ain't good. Zombs, the weak link in champs, only Viper and Astra. I don't expect them to reach the flexibility Liquid has, however, they have to flex in some of these maps such as Split. If they can't, then might as well switch Sinatraa w TenZ on Split and Bind.

I disagree. I think SEN has that capability too but hasn't needed to. Then when we have seen them pull something really weird out (Shaz on Breach) we have only gotten one look at it. Are we really going to jump to those conclusions off of one or two games where they have thrown the curveballs out? I think that Tenz could 100% have played raze if he wanted to. We didn't get to see it but both of those agents are good for him. The reality is we can't know why he chose the jett, we can only speculate unless they give us a reason. Also, don't forget that Zombs doesn't need to play a different agent, those two are the most dominant controllers on every map. His weak link was his gunplay if we need to pin him for something. It makes no sense to make him play a different agent any more than it would to put TenZ on a different role than entry.
Split is a mixed bag for SEN because historically it was one of their best maps where they won a lot of important games. I feel like if they start playing like themselves again that map isn't a problem for them but internationally it hasn't been a good one for them.

Also never start an answer with "too long did(n)'t read (I assume that's what you were meaning to say but if not I'm fine being wrong) as it completely shoots yourself in the foot. Why would I or anyone else want to take you seriously when you open with that? Obviously, I did read your response because I knew you read it.

I see what you are saying but I think that people attribute not changing their preferred comps to not being able to, instead of doing it on purpose.
I agree to disagree.
Thanks for the response

to be fair, shaz used to be a breach main in the early stages of the game (pop flash era and before)
i know this cause when i started playing val, i was a breach main and shaz was the only pro i watched who played breach

i don't think sen needs roster changes, everyone on the team plays their roles well.
they only missed on communication and gunplay this time (dapr usually popping off on split and zombs usually barely goes negative)

I think one of the problems for SEN is that in NA I hear that scrims aren't very frequent and there have been basically no NA tournaments in between the VCT events and its a little hard for SEN to be more flexible with their maps/roles/agent without proper practice but If more Tier 1 tournaments pop up in 2022 in NA we could see a lot of improvement from their teams

TLDR; SEN flexibility issues is due to lack of practice with the scrim environment in NA

yea that ios one of the biggest problems in NA and thats why there are better teams in EU rn, NA needs less streaming and more high skill tourneys and i think now would be the best time to host a big tourney in NA

They need an opper on split and that can only be done best by a jett, and so instead of forcing tenz on a character he isnt comfortable playing, why not just have him stay as jett on op. id say maybe if they need they can have sick on raze and then shahz should go breach cause hes so much better than skye on split if used well. That would be an insane comp. The biggest problem though is that tenz isnt good on split which used to be one of sens best maps, so he needs to prac mechanics on split and set plays

Im from NA (South NA fan as well) and idc about fnatic, but yes sen do need roster changes. They need bot zombs gone for somebody capable of playing the game. Hes overconfident and toxic, huge ego, no skill in any area of the game.

He really doesnt, hes one of the lowest impact astras I've seen in my whole life. Never using his util properly for his team on ct. Hes just clueless in every aspect of the game man.

And you base this how? As Shroud says, No one at this level of play is bad. Sentinels don't expect him to be a high frag player, rather a reliable player. His astra utility is fine and any misplays are most likely due to the communication problems the team was having. At this event they even acknowledged that their communication was uncharacteristic of them and was what cost them the Liquid game. I feel like the biggest difference this tournament was that they were all having trouble with hitting shots.

I think its fair to want zombs gone, but I feel like people are using his recent conflict to completely be biased against him.
Yes, he didn't play as good as usual in this tournament, but so did almost everyone save Shaz and depending on the map Dapr or sick

When you're playing astra, people have you on that role specifically for the utility for the most part. Everything after is just bonus because astra utility is just worth that much in pro play. It's easy to get warm after playing astra because of her astral form and while there are more fraggy astra players out there, his level of util usage and occasional clutches really make the team really pop oftentimes.

you obviously did not read what I wrote or else you will know my comment is completely unrelated to whether or not SEN is better or worse than KRU.
KRU played better yes.
You still have no idea what I was getting at.

Hope they don't drop boaster...man's a literal energy provider

I can't see FNC dropping anyone at the moment, Boaster would be one of the last players on the team I see going if they even got to that point. I initially didn't like him during Iceland but he has really grown on me and earned my respect. The man brings so much energy and hype to the stage and to his team that it would be stupid to drop him.

Yep...watch fnatics vlogs in Iceland, you'll see how much impact he truly brings to the team. His speeches are really motivating, and provides his team with the energy to win

Hate how some people only see kills and forget how important having an IGL like this can be. Also while he definitely had bad plays he's also clutched multiple rounds Fnatic would have lost otherwise so he 100 percent should not be dropped unless they have someone miles better

Like zombs, people only see kills.Im not a sen fan in any way,but I think the impact zombs brings to the table is irreplacable

Can definitely agree since there definitely is a loyalty and chemistry those players have to each other. Getting rid of one of that is not a smart move unless there is a solid replacement ready
