Last week I played valorant for like 30+ hours and now I feel so burnt out I uninstalled the game. How do pros play this game for 8+ hours a day. Surely we are getting bored, right?

if it was about the money they'd sit in immo3 and play pro city and tournaments all day instead
Ur either stupidly trying to cover up not knowing shit or ur reading comprehension is 0
Idk if you know the story of the 2022 world chess champ Ding Liren. He literally went into depression after winning the world chess champ and is still recovering. After reading his story I realized how much these people sacrifice to be at the very top.
Ya and I feel you have more pressure defending the world chess championship title than winning it. I actually rooted for Ding Liren last year World Chess championship game. I felt sad reading his story and even though he is recovering it seems unlikely he will return to his 2022 form.
yeah its pretty much that. if youre not ready enough the world after going on top is meaningless
yeah that was quite a sad story, he still did quite decently at the championship against gukesh despite his long hiatus(if not for that rook blunder who knows what could have happened)
half of the pros are usually just talking in games and only focusing in when the gun fight starts. u can see s0m asw. continously talking with chat and his duo and only focusing when the fighting starts. but yeah it'll be exhausting thats for sure
Ya I understand but I kinda get it why people like Tarik even though he is not a pro has lost interest.
Huge shoutout to sliggy tho, man consistently analyzes all the game at the same level irrespective of its importance
they have no choice dude. majority of them have nothing but a high school diploma - unless they can somehow afford and succeed in uni or pivot into a decent streaming career, they're cooked
that's why u see a lot of the earlier valorant people still streaming to like 12 viewers and/or disappear. career change out of esports is brutal
like could you imagine being a recruiter interviewing comp sci kids who've interned every summer of uni and then fucking marved walks in lmao
valorant esports doesnt even sound like a good career since you'll be sacrificing your late teenage years- early twenties on a video game instead of going to uni or something to get a real job, esp with how easy it is to lose your job, the competition, and orgs going broke after a gambling sponsor pulls out
which is why all of these pros (especially in t2) who aren't trying to build a big streaming career alongside competing are BRAINDEAD
