Iron Claw and Mysterious Skin. Mysterious Skin is pretty hard to watch so view it at your own discretion
la la land (2 people fall in love while in pursuit of their dreams)
grave of the fireflies (two young children trying to survive the aftermath of the pacific war. probably one of the saddest movies ever made)
minari (not particularly sad but very moving, story about korean immigrants trying to adjust to american rural society)
A.I. Artificial Intelligence (a story about a robot wanting to be a real boy ;_;)
a Taxi Driver (korean movie about the gwangju movement)
Leafie: a Hen into the Wild (animated children's movie, but quite profound. the ending hits hard. i would recommend watching the original dub as the english version cuts off part of the ending for the sake of not breaking audiences' hearts lol)
i could count on one hand the number of movies i've cried to, but i think the one movie i cried the most while watching was this:

i didn't even realise the tears were falling at first lmao, but this may be hard to acquire. it's probably got more emotional weight behind it given that this is actually real people and not made-up.
Always thought you were just a Korean culture enjoyer and Korean teams fan. Never thought of you as Korean lol. Yeah and I am kind of a new gen. Only been in vlr since lock in 2023.
Before that I used to watch val esports but didn't know about vlr.
i keep my national identity on the down-low because i don't really want it to be used in any arguments i might get into on this site. imagine discussing something in good faith only for it to be thrown aside because "ur korean" or "ur just fakeflagging as a korean"/"not even a real korean" as if that necessarily matters.
Yeah also the reason I rep international flag and also I am not nationalistic enough. I don't really care much about countries tbh. So I think my actions should have as little consequences as possible to the country I represent.
Also international flag is easily the best one.
nationalism got a lot worse recently. i try not to assume biases whenever i talk with someone about something & i try to be pretty understanding in general. pre-franchising when it came to asia, people would come together more, nowadays there's a lot of inter-regional animosity. pretty sad to see
True. Also Feels like a lot of people here in vlr just fake flag and troll other to create animosity between regions. Noticed this with sea and kr fans mostly. This has like been a major reason there is so much animosity between apac fans.
i'm fairly sure this vlr kr-sea beef is one sided because korea has their own forums for valorant and only those who are good/decent at english bother to post anything here
and a significant amount, probably majority, of korean people don't post at all and just read. but this probably applies to like everyone
