Why didn’t they just add an iPad for him and let him draw on the map. The cascades could also be directed like a tejo ult

I see so many people suggest this and none of them realize how clunky and impractical this would be

Do me a favour. Open up ValoPlant and try to draw any decent wall in less than 2 seconds. I almost guarantee you'll mess it up

why does it need to be two seconds? Also most people who aren’t immo mess up the wall anyways

Anyone who is human is going to be bad at drawing perfect lines with a computer mouse

And I say two seconds because you NEED to be quick with utility in VALORANT. 2 seconds is generous; sometimes you want a smoke down IMMEDIATELY

I agree but isn’t it fine if it’s not a perfectly straight line?

If your Harbor walls are perfectly straight lines then you're not playing Harbor right. 99% of the time you're going to want to curve the wall—that's the entire point of the ability. It's not Viper wall

Sorry, straight as in it isnt a perfect line. I didn’t mean it couldn’t curve. Mb

Lemme give you an example

Say you're hitting A on Haven and you do this wall: https://i.imgur.com/TnNDqcW.png

The CT wall doesn't need to be perfect, but the Heaven wall absolutely does. If it's too far back, they can peek in front of it; if it's too far forward, it's not smoking Heaven

Yeah, I don’t see why drawing that within a second would be difficult with practice. I’d try it now but I’m on my phone

Obviously you'd be better at it with practice, but it's VERY easy to make mistakes with this kinda thing, even more so with VALORANT maps because they tend to be displayed pretty small. We're humans, not robots... we're not going to be able to draw perfect lines (straight or curved) every single time, and in a game like VALORANT where precise ability placement matters, it just sucks to have human imperfection as part of a vital ability. Yes, it CAN be better in SOME situations, but overall it's just significantly worse than what it already is

Really? I would think it’s easier to draw on the map than use it like it is now? (I haven’t practiced much maybe it’s just a skill issue)

What about the cascade tejo ult change tho?

It's definitely easier to get consistent with Harbor's wall than it is at drawing lines with a computer mouse

giving harbor an ipad just feels wrong lore wise. like, it doesn't suit his character well imo.

It will be clunky asf I mean a mechanic in which u dont have to draw but can place it somehow can be better but then harbor wall will lose its curve so thats a thing but I love the wall as it is rn
