to be run as a solo controller, dont get me wrong it can be a thriving force in double controller comps but as a solo controller really cant hold a candle against omen, astra brim, etc , the problem is its wall is not its signautre any more which is a pretty big nerf and the signature is the shielded cove thing but it doesnt last long like normal other deployed smokes if u saw the valorant video( or maybe i could be wrong and it would last long if its shield isnt deployed)

Then he wont be played, the pseudoflex role, have already like... 15 agent that fight for this specific role. You havelike 4 agents that can solo ctrl, 4 that can reveal, 5 that can dive, and it's the far west for remaining 15 agent and the 2 remaining slot (11 for 1 spot if you consider a need need to have passive vision to cover flank)

He might unironically be better than post nerf Omen in some spots. Particularly Abyss and Haven, I expect Astra/Harbor and Harbor/Viper respectively.

he basically starts with 3+ (in fairness it used to be like 5 but they were all awkward and new Cove isn't so it's an upgrade)
paranoia is broken AF yes but the grenade is solid and ult is paranoia² although obv you get it less.
I really dont think it is, he was trash now he is mid, playable, but probably not the best option, VIper is better than him in every way, as a 2nd smoker, and smoke Omen > Cove, Paranoia > Stun and the 2 last are hard to compare. he is a solide B tier that will have some niche map with probably 50% pickrate, but not more I think
Fnc literally ran solo viper on Icebox this year and last year people were running solo viper on breeze
Icebox and Breeze are long ranged maps in those maps even solo Harbor would work honestly also many teams played Viper + Astra
I can see Harbor+Astra or Harbor + Viper being played on breeze Harbor does have stall now honestly speaking also I think Harbor is really good combined with Sage on Icebox and I think Solo Harbor might work on that map with double senti Sova and Jett or waylay

Good luck managing your one drone and scan when lurking viper is toggling wall and rat harbor can toss the ugliest high tide cove combo on a moment's notice
They still didn't fix the most annoying part about playing him which is that his smoking range is so short it dramatically narrows where he can position and still be useful to the team
