EMEA watchers is Keiko actually good on smokes or is he just a good player thats ok with playing smokes? How good are his paranoia timings, in-site smokes, etc. Does he play aggressive/passive/for trades/offangles/in smokes or what. Looking at his stats (and ranked) it looks like he prefers to play duelist

7th in bangkok and 12th in Toronto on a team that didnt make playoffs is definitely not good LMAO
He's looking great and more impactful on smokes than on duelist, honestly great pickup
He might be the only legit upgrade/sidegrade for s0m in the world. I would be more concerned with who can take over the vocal support that s0m provided, cause mechanically you shouldn't be concerned.
I was looking at his ranked stats this guy averages like 50% hs so I'm not worried about that. I also trust in bonkar to patch up the midrounding. What I am worried about is he wont provide the same util value to the team cuz s0m was REALLY good at omen. Trying to figure out which maps they'll play double duelist and if Ethan will have to flex omen to make it work
presumably on bind and split they’ll play the double duelist
ethan and co has struggled calling on bind so maybe shifting to double duelist can help them
Pretty good tbh, his util can improve but its not like he is worst, i would say he is cut above many in emea but combined with his raw aim its just pure insanity
whos the competition though? like over the entire year his only underperformance was champs
1st rated player in emea kickoff
7th at bangkok, no smoke players above him (only vipers)
6th emea stage 1, suygetsu only smokes player above him
12th at toronto, spring is only pure smokes above him (jing and forsaken both had basically the same rating as him and both played omen)
2nd emea stage 2, ruxic only player ahead of him also playing smokes
and then a mid ass champs performance where he had like a flat 1.0 rating.
like the actual competition that beats this is like, jing and forsaken, neither of which play full time controller although forsaken might play enough to count tbf, and then like maybe valyn? but over the entire year i think keiko clears valyn in pure fragging.
the only other actual controller players to rate above him at any events were no where close to better than him over the entire year
I'm looking more for utility value than rating. s0m would always notice when a teammate is getting pressured and throw a smoke for them to play around. He was consistently getting high value from paranoia compared to say Mako who kept throwing them too early and costing rounds. Him knowing how to play in and around smokes won them many many many crucial rounds. A controller who just brainlessly throws default smokes and gets kills would have good stats but wont have the nearly same impact that s0m did

lowk in terms of firepower he's an upgrade but in terms of the intangibles like calling and shi s0m is better
He's aggro like s0m. Probably the best replacement other than Oke or Zekken you could've gotten.

keiko is probably the best possible replacement for s0m
he is not as good as playing around his smokes but he is better mechanically, and i’ve heard that he takes a very active leadership position within liquid that makes me think that he’s generally a very good presence in the field
he lacks slightly in the vibes department but that’s very minor, it’s more important that he doesn’t tilt which i doubt he does
overall NRG is in good hands
He doesn't midround or is a vibes merchant but mechanically he's the best replacement for som
firepower-wise, 100% an upgrade. He's also insane on smokes. Vibes wise who knows, but NRG have a lot of time to figure that out. Mada might step up as the duelist/vibes merchant
