What specifically makes you think util is overbearing? Is it because of the map designs or do you feel like gunplay isn't enough of a factor in the game? Or is the utility simply too overwhelming to deal with?

util is supposed to help u get advantage in 50/50 gunfights.
not give u 90% chance to win the fight because enemy sentinel is full blind, revealed, prowled upon and being bombarded with missiles or molly

or have util reduced from agents to fixed values such as max 1 flash per initiator
OR have util rechargable after two kills just like raze nade or jett dash
but since initiators can't aim and kill they'll cry abt recharagable util

valorant devs can't make u bait out util. they can only do the first two things and that's what they did.

change was def required, but it should've been towards the blinding flash aspect of the game, not the stuns or paranoia.

for me the two biggest things were

  1. recon initiators being able to be braindead with their rechargeable

  2. some rounds being genuinely unwinnable bc of ult economy

i like the changes to site wide ults/yoru ult and the 60 second cooldowns for scan init (although 20 seconds straight up is kind of egregious imo they shouldve started with a smaller nerf)

i think all the changes to stun duration, flash duration, and other various nerfs were unnecessary

Well the devs have decided that valorant needs to die asap. The new patch has officially killed ranked everyone insta locking duelist and running it down and in 1 year all the player base will have moved on.

In my opinion, as a recon/senti main, the biggest issue was pretty much only Sova, Fade, Yoru, and Omen.

Sova and Fade had too much utility, with good util usage you can get 4 darts a round. It was bullshit. The fact that you can’t actually just bait out the util early cuz it would recharge for the exec is unplayable.

Yoru had too much utility for a duelist, feels like that’s self explanatory. Way too versatile of an agent

Omen having the best initiator util (paranoia) in the game is the biggest crime of it all. No controller should have an uncountable flash, let alone initiators

that's the entire point. util should give you a small advantage when taking space or entering gunfights. it shouldn't be that powerful that you can't fight back.

I mean there actually just isn’t any counter play, the solution is usually just to play retake. If you want to call that counter play, then sure. I would define counter play as actually just being able to hold the site but being limited in how you can fight

You're tellin me, you expect 1 guy to hold down a site against 3 players? Even without util, its highly unlikely that 1 player holds down that site

The point of the sentinel role isn’t to 1v3 a site, it’s to stall long enough for rotates which simply wasn’t possible against certain comps

In that case then yes, you can definitely hold a site even without the util nerfs.

utility should be more self effective other than initiators and controllers, too much projectiles is the problem i have
