i mean profek has been playing smokes for most of his career....? smokes is a support role not a role you need someone with the highest mechanical skill on
the team already has d0rke sayonara and less, you just need someone who's SOLID at the role not someone who can be inconsistent at times

im sure thats true but it takes time to play astra as a pro and astra is a more passive smoker (her other util is very good), which contradicts tenz's aggro playstyle

On breeze it’s normal for your sentinel/flex to play viper

Pearl is the only issue really

They did play omen on split , 2 breeze zellsis went viper and tenz played Kayo. 3. Abyss teams play omen as well , pearl is the only one for sure where i agree astra fits better and they dint play at all in 2024

And I never said you are playing breeze without a sentinel just cuz your sentinel flexes over to viper. It’s very normal in these situations for your flex to flex to sentinel or for your flex to flex to viper

Was he supposed to stay on duelist for rest of his career? He played smokes for whole year while being on top EMEA team and looking like top 3 player in the region. His smoke utility was completely fine.

they had to put serial on astra all season when they had him 🤷
as an org i'd much rather have an experienced smoker over keiko but if thats what you want then sure its a valid opinion

pearl was their 2nd choice of ban
ok he was playing raze on split
so he has little experience as an astra...? profek on the other hand has about 10x more rounds and games than him

Because they played double duelist on maps like Split. Kamo played Yoru and Keiko has very good Raze so its a no brainer. Rather have Keiko on Raze than Serial/Kamyk. TL didn't have players who could flex to duelist outside of Kamo and Keiko.

Profek is good as well and this was his first year in VCT, but overall Keiko > Profek for now and has shown ability to flex to duelist if needed. I think both are likely top 3 smokes in EMEA tho with Ruxic so can't go wrong with either one.

but you can't just CHUCK 5 good players into a team and win just because they have good aim
