still dont get why its not in pro play?
it'd make it easier for teams to prep and imo just increase the ceiling of play and not have 1 team stay on top for too long

I feel like teams would just copy each other as much as possible, and then you'd just 8 teams playing the exact same way which would be boring asf
Maybe this, Riot is purposely making it difficult so that it's not a game of fine tuning like CS
People are giving some answers but i think realistically its a mix of:
-It was simply not ready in time for champs this year, no point making promises for next year yet.
-they want the majority of people watching live on their streams with sponsors, FOMO is mitigated if you have a cooler viewing experience id say
-they dont want replays flooding their servers. From what ive gathered, valorant is never fully client side, a replay might as well take as much processing power as a regular match (they said the range is as costly as a match so go figure). 100,000 people watching the replay is equivalent to 1,000,000 player increase on the servers, and its for 1-2 hours each
Idk what youre trying to say with this link lol
If youre trying to say that the replay system could be client only, well the game could be played locally too, riot goes out of their way to block that so you cant reverse engineer the game and test cheats as easily.
If you wanna argue that replays wouldnt allow you to do that because youre not playing id say maybe yeah but it's not something either of us really know anything about haha
Also if this link is all replay systems are it would not have taken 5 years LMAO
They upgraded to ue5 then had a replay system. Just saying.
The way you phrased how information is on the server/client side was insane. A replay is a recording of positioning and other datapoints that are fed back into the engine to replay the game.
You can look up the data they gather in their API.
But what do I know, I've just built multiplayer games in ue5.
I mean the problem is that there aren't any custom game replays which makes it useless to every pro team. For a feature supposedly in development for 5 years it is incredibly disappointing that its just a glorified vod review which only you can watch, unless you record your screen which people were already doing.
cuz it will make you realize that god like pros (aspas, tenz, prime demon) are cheaters who uses aimbot, your expectations on pro players are increased without realizing that average pro players are on the same level as urangoat
Leo faria, he said he will give me some good shit as long as I relegate koi
There actually was an old Counter-Strike youtuber that made several videos "exposing" that pro players are cheating. Even the most respected ones like FalleN, was accused of cheating. This guy would play the highlights in slow motion and explain why the shots that the pros are hitting make no sense
W conspiracy theory
Yeah the only thing they have thats close are the coaching footage LMAO (or the twitch stream VODS 😭😭)
bro wtf is wrong with this community, yall never satisfied like cmon man they finally added a replay system be happy stop whining
annalists youtubers like teets have had reasons for wanting this because it would make their videos better but i feel like most of the community is complaining right as the replay system came out for no reason.
as if it effects me im js saying its kinda dumb how the whole point imo was for PROS to have it and then at the end they dont have it
