No, it's about investment in the scene. Which notably, KOI has done fuck all of compared to other "bad" teams like GE, M8, and even APEKS.

Completely avoidable situation if KOI management didn't get in partnership and then immediately try to coast without fulfilling contract.

KOI had one of the highest investments in the scene the first year, more than M8 this year. After that they have had serious internal issues and carried those massive contracts which didn’t allow them to properly build.

Those issues were resolved and KOI was ready to make a massive push now. And Riot knows first hand KOI is very much competent because they are their current LEC champs. It was exceptional circumstances not coasting at all

Absolute state of valulrant. Not only did they allow all these brokeass orgs in their franchising (leaving huge orgs like Spirit, VP, Falcons etc etc) but now they're also fucking them over for even poorer basement orgs. Can't wait for DNSTY to be part of franchising with their 200$ contracts.
