I used to love DRX but the way they dealt with Zest and Foxy9 in 2023 , then how they just dropped Rb and Zest very late into the offseason like in mid december if I can recall correctly . I dont think they are DRX management decision its more of Termi decision but I think DRX management are to be blamed partly cuz they allowed termi this much freedom . I hated them even more in 2025 cuz like how shit they treated BeYN bro was legit treated like a use and throw condom icl . So ya + they just randomly dropped Athan 2 weeks before Kickoff and then sign BeYN .
zest foxy9 situation was way overblown, and it was mostly just foxy9s fault for playing so badly that he had to be subbed out
They swapped 3 times and one of the times was just a meaningless match that didn’t change DRX’s spot in playoffs.
Zest and Rb should’ve played better if they wanted to keep their spot. Rb played badly at champs. Both were also instantly picked up by a tier 1 team after that so what’s the problem?
BeYN is a sub, he subbed in when athan stepped down, and he subbed in when flashback stepped down. He did his job well but that doesn’t mean he’s entitled to a starting spot. Also i’m pretty sure you’re more upset about it than he is.
The foxy9 part really felt like Termi was experimenting with 6 man with how they were swapping him in and out, and then just decided it wasn't working. So as much as I wished to see more foxy9 on DRX I can understand it.
For Beyn I have to disagree. DRX looked good with the double duelist in Kickoff. Usually people get subbed out after playing badly, so if you do well as a sub you have proven yourself, why can't you be on the starting roster?
But all that being said, I don't dislike the org per se, but I feel after most of the OG roster left that it somehow hasn't really found a new identity even with Termi at the helm.
Foxy9 played all of the regular season except for the meaningless last match(seeding was alr determined) he had a bad playoffs which led to him being subbed out. Then they tried him again in tokyo group stage but he kept having bad performances and after that they played with zest for the rest of vct. There was no intention of having a 6 man roster.
DRX didn’t play double duelist in kickoff. The played it at the start of stage 2. The reason DRX didn’t keep BeYN was because MaKo doesn’t want to IGL, that very public knowledge and he’s made it very clear. The only reason MaKo was even IGL in kickoff was bc he didn’t like free1ng’s calling. So DRX were just looking for an IGL but in the meantime BeYN played as their 5th.
The teams lack of identity is honestly on flashback. Hes one of if not my favorite player but he really left at the worst possible moment. Imagine being a coach and essentially your last month of practice has been centered around double duelist comps, you look very dominant and then ur secondary duelist just leaves. Then not to mention Flashback came back RIGHT b4 stage 2, so they basically had little to no actual practice with him prior to stage 2(EWC made it 2 days assuming they didn’t take a day off after EWC) They start to look better but eventually get outclassed by(you guessed) aggressive teams with double duelist comps like DRX were practicing early stage 1. Top 4 teams in pacific stage 2 all run double duelist on most maps.
Compare that to PRX who’s biggest roster issue in the last 2 years was them having to drop mindfreak after underperforming, and it’s easy to see why the team has no identity.
Overall, yeah this team is cursed but nonetheless people always point their frustrations with DRX in the wrong direction. Also, sometimes i feel like DRX’s issues aren’t even even serious enough for some1 to actually hate

I think I didn't really write it well but for me the identities also kinda come from the players/playstyle. Like the old DRX had mostly 'fixed' roles, having really good set executes, and occasionally popping creative team comps like the no duelist Ascent comp iirc.
This year, together with heavy meta shifts and player changes (like you mentioned, flashback really kinda screwed that up), the team looks shaky and for me it feels like they have to rely more on the explosiveness of the players to carry them over at times. Now as another Pacific team going into champs I do hope they can find their footing in time and at least prove to continue to be GroupRX.
constantly subbing out a new player is a detriment to their confidence and will of course lead to worse results, they should’ve just left zest out especially in pacific when they’d qualified
beyn and flashback both got punished despite no real reason, again just because of like 1 bad performance, the constant roster change is never good for relations between the coach and the players
players still don’t deserve to get dropped after a bad tournament, and rb showed that by playing really well in 2024 despite being on a bad team
yes Foxy9 played bad in playoffs and in internationals but then let him in play in big games like if u dont trust him why bench Zest in the first place ???????
WDYM they were insignificant matches like it was a miracle they made it to Tokyo . Like its pure luck that despite not scrimming much together in recent months they found key wins .
Zest played well enough in champs . Rb is not a sentinel player and yet played very well on senti in the grp stage esp . I am not mad that they were dropped the timing was horrible . Like dropping 2 players mid december is diabolical . Rb found a team in CN . Zest did find a team still stage 2 . If we talk abt tier 1 .
BeYN was a sub later but u cant deny the fact that Athan was dropped he was playing for DRX academy instantly after being dropped . Again the timing is horrible . + BeYN should not have been dropped in the first place he was insanely good on roles which didnt suit him in 2023 . Then even after performing very well in kickoff and Bangkok they should not have dropped him for Estrella .
first of all how is GE being shit . + GE is shit due to management reasons like :-
1)They pay ridiculously low salaries so they cant attract top talent like most players use GE as a stepping stone in VCT and then move to other rich orgs or orgs which have better chances to winning in VCT .
2) The owners and management are too open to their fans like plz respect their privacy and let them cook in peace . You create unnecessary pressure on them to perform .
3) Second year ofc players will ask for a bit of a salary hike GE is like uh uh no . Then ofc they cant create a core that they can build around . Like bro the org is shit imo they should no even be in VCT . Like for two years they were like no we are not going all in cuz logistics and then when they like ya we are going all in they sign only imo 2 hidden gems from tier 2(UdoTan and KellyS) and a super star tier 2 prospect in Kr1stal . Papi on paper was a good find but ya the less I speak the better and I guarantee you . PatrickWHO/ yokam was one of the few players who would play legit for league minimum so ya .
4) Why is the owner watches their players scrim like my guy give them some space .
bro in india we have too many languages like not even everyone speaks hindi infact my hindi is not that good so there is a good chance the rosters can speak english . Do not compare thai talent to indian talent . Thailand always had international representation in Xerxia and X10 .90% Indian players doent even get proper ping to scrim SEA , KR and CN teams due to ping .
