GENG and TH

I think GENG and TH in 2024 set a bad example by fully rebuilding their roster and immediately having success. Because of that now every middling to bottom teams are blowing up their whole rosters after a bad season and they are missing key part of what makes a good team - chemistry.

I think to achieve consistent success you have to at least keep a core and build around 2-3 players and bring in a new young talent. You must have a good igl as well. There are way more teams who found consistent success with keeping their core and changing like 1-2 players:
SEN 2024, SEN 2025, FNC 2023, FNC 2025, G2, PRX, RRQ, even C9 and NRG this year and so much more.
All of these teams just made 1-2 roster moves and improved gradually or just stayed on high level.

But now all the teams who finished bottom half of the league are making 4-5 changes every year and blowing up their rosters and I just think its same playing russian roulette and seeing if you get lucky or not

luck is always going to be a factor in roster moves. to what degree you never know, but it's always a part of the process. also there's been teams this year that have made bigger changes and seen more success as a result. mibr, leviatan, nrg, talon ( i feel like nrg definitely made a lot of moves this year)

I mean BBL literally fucking built this year and they are top 4 bro if you mean by not blowing roster mid season then I can agree

It really depends on the players you have at your current roster and the ones you are trying to bring in. For example 2024 MIBR had literally only one player worth trying to salvage which was Artzin so they kept only him and rebuilt the team. In the end, rebuilding the team almost entirely proved to be very good decision. Furia is the same, they need a complete rebuild. LOUD on the other hand only needs maybe one or two new players (in my opinion a new IGL)

it just depends really, sometimes there is no "core" of anything worth keeping.

Just rebuild around Benjy Wo0t and RieNs. Notice how Benjy stopped doing his usual hand shake with Wo0t. Clearly something is happening.

I actually think it's the opposite. Very rarely you see a team that starts slow and progressively gets better through the years without major changes. Truth is 99% of the time when a team runs it back without changes they do significantly worse than previously. I can't explain it but teams seem to get worse not better with time
