I know its unlikely but I want them to get dropped by SEN but get picked up by another org, those caliber of players deserve to play ascension at least

i really hope riot expands franchising in 2027 or at least makes tier 2 qualification to internationals possible
They can’t, they’re under an academy slot so they would have to re-go through open quals and it’s too late for that
Academy teams were never supposed to make ascension, its purely for talent development. It wouldn' be good for competitive integrity to have the same org competing with two teams. This rule makes perfect sense.
Ascension is a org thing more than a player thing. If players truly deserve tier 1 then its only a matter of time before they get picked up.
I didn't mean in that sense, I meant that the cubert roster should be allowed to play as a F/A roster at Ascension and have the chance to get picked up by another org if they ascend
So what happens when no org picks them up? They can't play then and the whole ascension thing feels worthless. You have a The Guard situation all over again. They got lucky with G2 being so readily willing to pick them up. It's not realistic for most orgs to suddenly sign an entire roster without planning to.
Most orgs are going to try and get into partnership in 2027 anyways. It wouldn't surprise me if Shopify picked them up in order to get into the ecosystem early before partnership reevaluations. Riot would approve them as well. They are a stable and extremely wealthy organization who has been in the game for years, similar to G2.
They don't need to play ascension to get picked up by that logic, so why does it even matter ATP? Shopify just need to strike a deal come 2027 with SEN to poach the academy.
well no they didnt get lucky, tgrd had MULTIPLE offers from tons of orgs like dignitas, flyquest, SR, but g2 gave them the biggest bag. remember the chet leak screenshot of his discord talkin with tex or smth at the time

Bro KRU made an academy but under another org so they could qualify to ascension, why can't Sentinels do the same?
oxen isnt an academy team, just affiliate, same with bbl pcific. i would guess riot offers better financial incentives to orgs to do true academy teams
