-people that spam !drop !claim get their drop after 1 hour
-teams arent popular enough
-people expecting stomp after first series
-so many delays and stalling for just 1 series
-people only come for opening and closing ceremony for riot production

thats all i can found so far but atleast Day 1 2/3 game series is competitive and not a stomp. this valorant lan would be fun to watch even if cant beat cs peak major viewership

SEN games gets alot of viewers , Liquid too, so those 2 games might not be good but decent viewership
and Aguero buff

Really depends on who is playing. Sentinels vs Liquid will bring in the best viewership most likely. In Berlin, the peak viewership was 811,000k and it was in the group stage. The finals had 690k. It is the first day so it will most likely get higher. I don’t know why people are so concerned about viewership though. I think it will get 1.2-1.5 peak viewership but I don’t think it will come close to the CS major.

It doesn't even have to get close to CS viewership. CS has had 20 years to build up its fanbase and just had its first major in 2 years with a great s1mple vs niko storyline. Of course they beat records there.

Valorant is only a year and a half old

I know it doesn’t have to get close but people keep talking like it should get that viewership or beat it which is absurd imo. It has more to do with CS being around for 20 years. The fact there was a full sell out crowd helps a lot. The stage is cool and all for Valorant but the crowd makes that much more of a difference. Riot for whatever reason seems to have no interest in having a crowd atm.

liq vs kru is going to be the most the watched game today since Aguero is streaming it today

Csgo major had like 300k avg viewership in groups

exactly

It also had only 1.3 million in the Semifinals. Finals was the only relevant game in the entire major as people wanted NAVI to win and witness S1mple lift the PGL trophy.

Major challengers stage is considered more as qualifier, actual 'group stage' is Legends stage in which avg viewership was ~590k.
Also remember major had Swiss system which has a lot more matches than simple double elim bracket, +all matches were bo1.
So valorant should have the edge in views at least in terms of bracket and schedule

that's not how it works,

https://escharts.com/tournaments/valorant/valorant-champions-2021

for 1 years old esport game, and got average 492k views in the day 1
it's pretty good stats

Why is that not how it works?? It is well known by tournament organizers that a double elim bracket brings in more viewership than a swiss system, because each game is more valuable.
Swiss system on the other hand is much more fair to the participants

It was 500k I think but it’s hard to compare the group stage in the cs major cs Valorant considering they are ran in two different ways.

reasons why the views are low:
-is the first in history

#11
VeLooZ

Reason why the View low because Riot make a system Watch party(Drop enabled).
if there is no watch party. so might be official valorant Twitch account has high view with Drop enabled only at official.
example Official Valorant : 200K Views
Watch Party Shroud : 40K
Kyedae : 40K
Jonas : 40K
if sum 200+ 40+40+40

Yeah True

I don't know why people saying low viewership.

for most of the regions, timings are pretty fucked Asian countries and the EU literally can not watch Fnatic vs Cloud. Out of 500k viewers, 70 percent is only NA

#24
spookmeister

bruh lots of NA is at work during those games
its kinda fucked for lots of people

#37
Larry

Honestly I feel like the majority of people who watch Valorant in NA don’t work as many of them are kids or younger. I can see like them being in school but idk. Don’t know anyone my age who regiously watches Valorant. They only play it.

#36
Larry

Yes and no. Hard to compare the challenger stage viewers from cs and Valorant since they are ran in completely different ways. Valorant there are set groups with 1 match at a time. Cs has one big group with teams playing each other based on their record typically with more than one match playing at the same time. If you’re a diehard fan you watch all the games but if your team isn’t playing you don’t really care.

Don’t know why people care so much about the viewership. CS set the bar high with the Major but trying to only focus on the Valorant viewership will just cause people to go nuts.

It's the group stage, what did you expect? Only diehard fans watch group stage matches, and even then there still was a peak of 600k concurrent viewers. 600k is not at all a bad number, seeing as these were roughly the same numbers in the opening matches of CSGO PGL Stockholm Major. If these numbers drop during playoffs, THEN I'd think there's a problem.

Group stage 500k is not low lmao, what do you want, and mid-week , also teams not popular, also not best time zone for all regions

"views are low"

They aren't. Viewership is pretty sick for a game that's only 1.5 years old.
