why aspas

Can someone that follows MIBR more tell me why he looks so down or like he just doesn't wanna play? Last we saw him totally happy was in LOUD, which changed after they won champions and wanted to leave after extra season, he then also was apparently unhappy at LEV and wanted to leave, and now at MIBR he looks like he is there because he has to. Is it burnout? was there internal issues? He literally made the team himself with players he supposedly liked. I need someone to help me understand cuz it's just so weird

not a fan of Aspas... Derke is the better duelist , but Zekken will never be as respectable as Aspas

He should have never left LOUD, less and Aspas would be what people say about derke and Alfajer now

Truly Brazil might never get a strong team like LOUD ever again .... at least the present is looking like so

Nah there's hope, if loud or mibr are willing to drop the bag there are so many rookies that have the potential to win trophies

LOUD = didnt want to play with saadhak because of in-game issues, comps and stuff, also problems with LOUD's infrastructure* (they are still friends)

LEV = nzr drama

MIBR = he didnt made the team himself with the players he like, MIBR was a team made with what was left for him after BLEED got kicked out of VCT. Aspas was ready to play for Leviatan this year if the negotiations didnt work, but LEV were already replacing and benching him so he had to leave.

the mibr players were all recommendations, aspas didnt know any of them, except for nzr that was the only option for IGL left and he was sitting at FURIA's bench. Do you understand it now, sir?

a bit more, but even if he didn't make the team himself I wonder what is making him so demotivated. Most players don't get to choose their team either and look happy

ngl it looks like internal issues

could be, cuz even if they struggle with new meta this team is looking wayy worse than at the beginning of the season

He didnt choose and as far as I know he is definitely not demotivated. Aspas was always serious and "ice cold" since his LOUD days.

My theory is that now that he is in a stretch of losses that we never saw before, his cold personality in-game is now perceived as sadness and demotivation. Look up an old LOUD game where Aspas is in a big win streak, his reactions are the same, he is just focused

It feels like he has lost some of the motive to play the game his face looks so ice cold in current times compared to Loud

Saw a video of Aspas constantly laughing and smiling on loud and now he’s always so sad and serious 😭
Lost his whimsy

he was always like this even in LOUD bro, this is his reaction to getting an ace in LOUD:

outside of the game he is still smiling and joking around, but i dont think you watch brazilian content so you dont see it

the team def seems fractured. a lot of influential people have been implying (is that a word lol) they need to talk some things out and the vibes seem very weird. dont know if they will survive this year

even if they fix it, I doubt aspas would stay. afaik he has been wanting to live in APAC for a while

yeah but with his current form i really doubt a pacific team with money/will to invest a lot on valorant enough to pay his salary would go after him, even if he is aspas

surely there has to be a team to pick him up, maybe they won't pay him a lot for being out of form but he is still a historically good player that has lots of fans. Even yay got an offer after he flopped in Tier 2, I don't see why aspas wouldn't after 1 rough season in Tier 1.

#24

yay prob had to lower his salary for EG. idk if aspas is willing to do that at the moment

I mean, like you said, he is out of form and his contract with MIBR finishes this year. If a team in APAC isn't willing to keep paying him a lot idk why other teams in Americas would. Better to have a lower salary in APAC, a region he wants to be in, than to have a lower salary in Americas or not getting picked up at all if he asks for a lot.

The reality is Aspas is getting older, getting good amount of money and realizing Valorant pro won't last forever, hes enjoying life, he recently travelle to EU, hes casually playing some CS and stuff. Add some team issues and yes, he might look sad on stage but I guarantee you that at the end of the day, when hes not thinking about Valorant, hes having a blast. Give him a fucking break

He was supposed to be “retired” already, at the beginning of the year he was going to bleed just to farm money and live in korea, he knew he wouldn’t be competing for anything. But that whole thing crashed and burned so he had to delay the retirement, but yeah man’s definitely done with valorant already

He literally said yesterday that he plans to play at least 10+ more years of professional Valorant. And about the BLEED deal, he was building the team himself.

And considering APAC has won the 3 of the last 4 internationals, its not a bad idea to move to APAC if you want to win

I think meta is kinda not on his side. hes mainly a jett player and Jett is mid rn. its more of like yoru neon these days in which I don't think aspas is as comfortable on. also internal issues are a big part. Honestly if aspas wants to keep on playing and have a chance for another trophy, he should probably follow sacy's footsteps and move to NA or some other region like apac. I think the SA teams (especially Brazil) have kinda fallen off.

I also think he should be learning other agents, yoru neon became meta by the end of last year, I don't know why he hasn't learned any of the two yet. Even if he moves to APAC it will be hard for him with how much APAC teams change coms
