As a person of Asian descent, we often get screamed at by our parents. As a result, most of just dissociate when people yell at us/shut down until they stop ranting. This is likely true of many Asian pro players (like sylvan). In fact, this is something Alecks said used to happen with his guys as well, and he has to teach them to take criticism from their elders/authority figures.
Now notice that Alecks, coaching the most frustrating team of all time, regularly slamming his desk and screaming profanities on coach cam, is extremely calm every single time he talks to his players in time outs. He understands that the players are self-critical and are already internally kicking themselves for their misplay. He doesn’t need to admonish them- he just needs to calmly point out where the erred and set them straight.
Compare this with autumn and his behavior with sylvan. The fact that Sylvan got shit when buzz went 36-55 against secret (a series with 2 13-10 losses btw) is criminal.
