Buzz problems in T1

In the new T1 documentary found in T1 valorant channel, you can how much of a negative impact buzz is on the team.

To start, he keeps blaming sylvan for not only decision making mistakes(some are not even mistakes but buzz needs a scapegoat) but also for not being able to shoot(I don’t see buzz flaming himself when he can’t shoot and surely blaming sylvan for not shooting will make him shoot better).

Buzz also tends to ruin the mood in the middle of the round. You can see him already blaming those around him mid round(which isn’t good as you are suppose to only give useful info to help them focus).

After the games they lost, buzz voiced his frustration of sylvan lack of feedback on the game which is fair since sylvan needs to speak up more. The problem is, sylvan confidence is down due to buzz blaming him during the game too much that he is afraid his input is going to be criticized.

Overall, even with sylvan gone, buzz will just find another scapegoat and until buzz stop blaming and start giving good criticism(usually at the end of the game but don’t come off too angry), I don’t even see T1 beating middle pacific teams like nongshim, talon, boom.

i don’t like the way they (buzz and autumn) interacted with sylvan post-game, he already has confidence issues and they just make it worse for him

Wdym clearly buzz dropped 150kills in the final and dragged T1 to victory. It was all him

now the scapegoat will most likely be DH (him being an academy grad makes it even easier)

it was kinda painful to see sylvan being so slumped in like 99.9% of the 1 hour + video. the only time i saw him happy was celebrating a round win.

mf was choking 4 years straight on the international stage, was the worst rating on his team in the grand final, missed toronto, lost to GE, and has the audacity to open his mouth

yeah that's the thing, many people who haven''t even achieved much have high egos and superiority complex; like you have meteor in your team and when he isn't showing arrogance what have you done to do such

He had one bad map, ya his performance on split is not acceptable but fortunately Meteor stepped up and helped them cross the line. But if he had an average performance on Split he would've been one of the higher rated players.

While I do agree to an extent, I think BuZz was trying to point out everyones mistakes on the team, not just Sylvans, and hold them accountable. If you really want to win, you need a player like that.

doesnt matter if he was one of the higher rated players
he's a fucking serial choker. all this guy has known is to choke. only reason buzz has a title is because the other 4. because he couldn't do shit when he had prime mako, stax, rb, and zest - he needed fuckin meteor and izu

"only reason buzz has a title is because the other 4" Yeah its a fucking team game. We don't know what was going on in DRX, but BuZz was always doing his part and beyond. Edit: Also, to add to this, he was playing Prime Loud, Prime Optic, Prime FPX, Prime FNC, Prime EG, and in 2024 he was given a roster of rookies (No hate to them, I love all the players on DRX)

Buzz and Sometimes Stax were emotionally blaming Sylvan for a lot of that documentary. Its mostly him getting blamed and being the punching bag/scapegoat of T1 for most of the documentaries and I feel like the lack of respect for Sylvan is just mean.

yea ur right, it’s important to hold accountability and responsibility but it’s also important to find a balance between constructive criticism and being passive aggressive because that’s what it looked like from the documentary

Yeah, honestly I haven’t had the time to watch the new documentary, so I could be completely wrong. But I did watch the born to be documentary three times, so thats what I’m basing my original statement on. I'm going to sit down and watch it tonight, I really hope that BuZz wasn't being as much of a toxic teammate as the comments are portraying him to be.

I think EDG was the best matchup, considering the issues they had at the time.

EDG in Bangkok was looking like a Chichoo 1v5 show

There is a right and wrong way to give feedback, and what buzz did was blame sylvan for everything, even it it wasn't his fault or he made a reasonable play. Even if he was giving justified feedback every time, it sounded more like he was just blaming sylvan than wanting him to fix his mistakes and get better.

In the documentary there was a game on split where buzz started flaming sylvan mid game over a perfectly normal play. iZu was supposed to cover B main with OP but whiffed and died to the heaven player. Sylvan assumed that there still could be a player in B main and left his off angle on rafters to play a less exposed position on site. The enemy team ended up just full executing B through heaven and killed sylvan. iZu didn't take responsibility for his whiff while buzz started going off on sylvan for a perfectly reasonable play.

I don't understand how you can defend this behavior. It is not good for team chemistry at all, and Autumn is just enabling it by doing the same thing as buzz and not setting a good example for how feedback should be given.

T1 did a great job at denying post-plant opportunities for G2 on split and pearl which is why they were so good on defense more than attack. I do agree though EDG is up there given that they’ve scrimmed each other before 🗿

Yeah, I'll need to actually watch the documentary myself. When I first saw this thread, I thought this was coming from the Born to be documentary T1 posted after winning Bangkok. I didn't know they released a new one. But yeah from what you're saying it doesn't sound great.

Kinda they put themselves in the executioner block in front of the general audience especially team dynamics and their behaviour towards each other

They are following Autumn's example. This guy is encouraging this behavior and doing the same to sylvan as the players are. I can't imagine being in a team where nobody gives you any feedback unless its negative.
