The fact that they won it out proves that they can deal with closing out the games. F0rsaken and Jinggg both said that they got carried away when they were in such a big lead. If they lost, then I understand the choke narrative or whatever. But the fact that they pushed through in OT should be more of a positive thing than anything. PRX are very and I mean very bad at OT situations, until yesterday's last map that is.

Anyway I still have faith and I think that this close map will actually help PRX more than if they just won 13-3 or something.

coach alecks is whining like a 5 year old after every round

the fact an 11-1 lead even got to overtime is a very bad look for this team

this isn't about hypotheticals the results are what the results are, and they show a poor performance from both teams.

That's what this is.

11-1 is bad showing of Ego thinking they already won the game i can't defend it but again your lying to urself if u dont think stabilizing after being up 11-1 losing 9 rounds straight and winning the next 2 in OT is a good show of mental most teams would crash out and lose

map 1 was a choke job, you lost 3 post plants in a row on offense that's embarrassing the average conversion on that.

I'll give you the Yoru clone, but the other 3 rounds matter as well as the overtime.

Coach Aleck's behavior can be explained by his emotions watching the game, but during 12-10 or something they opened a hot mic and he literally gave up on his team. Your coach CANNOT do that, ESPECIALLY at this level.

Mental preparedness is one thing after the 11-1 choke, but there is going to be a team that is better than PRX is even at a good mental. You simply cannot open that door being up 11-1 on an elimination game, and eventually that's gonna catch up to them.

Bro how the hell do you know that the guy gave up? Are you part of the team? Calling the team out for their bad performance is one thing, calling out individual performances like youre there in the moment and a part of the team is just totally wrong. Calling alecks out for giving up is not true because if your watched any of their long form content youll realise alecks is just emotional to himself but keeps it professional with the squad

Well obviously, he's not saying that to his team, but he knows it and already gave up.

I don't think he's joking, he genuinely believed they were going to lose. The dynamic of the momentum broke him and whether or not you want to praise the players, this coach does not have the mentality that champions possess.

You do realise that the frustrations he expresses in the coaching booth doesn't directly go towards the team? Literally just look at the next timeout he is calmly talking to the team and they actually closed the map.

Do you think other coaches don't feel this kind of frustration in a similar situation just because they don't express it so visibly? Or is alecks just worse just because he isn't a sitting moai?

Alecks losing his shit has become such a big meme in the Val community that the productions goes out of their way to show him malding more than any other coach.

I've seen pretty much every other coach mald like that when their team is losing but only Alecks gets shit from the community.

I think both things can be true. They did almost fumble a massive lead, but the fact that they closed it will help them as a team realize that they can still close out games even at their worst. So yeah I think this is a good experience especially for a team that is known for their mental fragility.
